Tough fight to gauge but I would lean with the faster and just as hard hitting Haye.

Povetkin has better skills while Haye has speed and reach on his side.

Both hit equally hard, while Povetkin has better chin.

Hard to pick the winner here, I can't even say if the fight ends by stoppage or lasts full 12 rounds.

I think Povetkin. His arsenal was wider, he had the mentality of toughing it out and his workrate is superior. Haye might hit a bit harder but I prefer grit and skills to power.

I would have called it for Povetkin if they had got it together.

Less holes in his game to undo him for my money.

If Marco Huck lost a razor thin majority decision against Povetkin, I have to believe Haye can outpoint him without much issue.

Haye injures several toes while training his biceps, and wakes up with mysterious cuts on his forehead, forcing a delay.

Teddy Atlas then storms the press conference, screaming that Povetkin has the flu and the fight is off, that he never liked the match up anyway, and cant concieve how Povetkin will ever get an underwear sponorship deal with such an opponent in the month of May.

Both men are replaced by Tony Thompson, and the card is cancelled.

If Carl Thompson can get the KO over Haye, I reckon Povetkin would be able to do the same ;)

    Fair play!

But in all seriousness, I'm apt to believe the former is more likely. But I wouldn't have tremendous confidence in picking Haye, that's for sure. And I can reasonably understand why the majority of observers might favor Povetkin.

    Povetkin.

He can take anything Haye lands.

    The reverse is not so.

Povetkin. Much too busy--David wants lots of breathers and tons of posing & it won't happen against this guy. Instead of fighting 40 seconds a round it will be 3 minutes. And he won't handle the pace.

I'd go with Pov. Why? One yardstick would be their measures of success against common opposition, though its not perfect to do so. Chubby boy arguably beat Wlad by DQ when they fought (in fact he really did), whilst Haye ran like a coward (though he isnt a coward obviously, more of a con artist). Pov did more.

Pov has better wins, marginally, with Huck, ad would stalk Haye making him run, thus outpointing him narrowly. Haye would blame a fractured 6th metacarpal, and then move to cruiser to avoid a rematch.
