Miller doesn't lose a 'hypothetical match up' with Povetkin because of his nationality.....he loses a hypothetical match up based on past evidence and performances from both boxers.

Miller hasn't had a victory or performance to suggest he deserves a shot at a guy who many consider to be top 5, if not top 3, of the division.

My 'jibe' about him being American was actually to point out that his nationality is the only reason people are discussing him as a contender.....

The fact people are labelling Washington a 'good win' says everything we need to know about Miller's level and past opponents at this stage of his career.

 

Until he fights a top 10-15 opponent? Jeez, who is on your top 15 list? Wach and Washington are, minimally, fringe top 15 opponents. Miller would have a good chance against old Sasha I think. He'd be a live underdog

 

I guess I see your point still I get the sense that you’re pushing the whole American privilege agenda and it’s a tired one. If boxing sees a market for you and potential profits they will make path for you to succeed and it doesn’t matter where in the universe you’re from.
