Would be a great potential match up, both excel at mid range. But at this stage you'd have to favour Povetkin. Parker has looked very good so far but he's yet to be tested like Povetkin would test him. We don't know if he can box on the back foot and in this fight Povetkin would come forward all night and push Parker back. So far Parker has intimidated all his opponents onto the back foot, not sure he'd be as effective when going backwards. When an opponent does attack him he's shown little movement, usually stepping back and tying up his opponent. It could end up being a clinch fest if Parker doesn't know how to move better than we've seen.
I'd give kovalev a great short vs povetkin, probably, actually 100% lay tko bet on it. But too many fighters many levels above povetkin for Kovalev to take on. Lhw has turned into a great division over the last few years
Povetkin got more than tested v chambers for crying out loud, and if chamber's was afforded a real camp and was in real fighting shape he'd have squashed povetkin, I remember chambers having povetkin ready to go but by round 5 or 6 chambers fell flat on his flabby out of shape face. If chambers can fight you close to even terms, you shouldn't ever be a true test for anyone that's got Talent to be a top flight player
Parker aint ready. Also he NEEDS to step up his opposition very soon. Really no one knows how good Parker is, as he's only fought bums.
It's too soon. Parker loses, but it'll be quite the learning fight. Joshua isn't ready either. They both lose to Povetkin right now. Sad that Povetkin will probably grow old overnight or something by the time these two step-up. Hopefully, Usyk moves up soon.
