But they aren't always an accurate representation of a fighters standing head to head dumb-dumb. That's the point that appears to fly over your head time and time again. Educated fans aren't fooled into believing that the likes of Molina, Duhaupaus and Szpilka are actually top 10 heavyweights.
Too much truth in one post. I hear Ryabinski is willing to stage Povetkin/Stiverne in the US. That's a good idea because very few Americans even know who Povetkin is.
Indeed. Povetkin is far more known in Russia than Wilder is in the states. Nobody gives a **** about Wilder except for his own city/state and certain people in hardcore boxing fans. These Wilder fanboys tend to be delusional and out of touch.
Some people know about Wilder, very few know about Povetkin. He's literally just the mandatory right now which has the reputation of being an easy fight getting in the way of the real ones.
Povetkin is a gold medalist for Russia and has a billionaire backing him. Wilder can't sell out gymnasiums in Alabama and barely draws during prime time regular tv. Boxing is a global sport. Not regional.
Cheating and peds aside, I think Pov is the better fighter right now. Stiverne fell off hard in the last few years and might get stopped in this one.
I think so,too.Good target practise for Povetkin against an inmobile punching bag in front of him.Sure, the punching bag can take some good shots but he is still a tailor made opponent for the Russian.
