Povetkin vs Stiverne

If Stiverne's performance against professional loser Demetrice King is anything to go by, Povetkin will put him in a coffin :roll:

Every fighter has a horrible loss or two. And Povetkin actually beat Chagaev and Huck, who are good fighters.

I prefer looking at current form.

 

Povetkin seems to have a big following on this forum.a decent fighter for sure but I don't get it .if he beats stiverne in a good performance then I Will change my opinion.

 

Stiverne could hardly beat Rossy, and his only decent win is a past it Arreola.
It's pretty safe to say that win got him way overrated at the time and it looks like he's not even close as in the same ballpark as Povetkin.

Very wide UD or a late stoppage.

Stiverne was dropped by and arguably lost to Rossy in his last fight. Not a good sign. Povetkin by KO.

 

He was stopped once, the stoppage was fairly questionable.
You don't have Stiverne's style of catch and counter and have a weak jaw.

That being said, Povetkin wins by points, Stiverne waits to counter too much. Povetkin puts rounds in the bank and Stiverne lands the occasional big shot but Povetkin isn't gonna go down getting hit one shot at a time. You'd have to put multiple shots together and that's not Stiverne.

his only chance of beatin povetkin is by ko . povetkin by ko or UD.

 

Is this fight mandatory VADA?

I believe P.E.D.Povetkin is under a 1 year "special" monitoring program, so if he is caught using again he will be hit with a serious penalty, maybe even a ban.
That being the case, unless Russia has revised their cheating program with a new and yet undetectable PED for P.E.D.Povetkin, then the walking PED test lab will be forced to dry out "Cold Turkey"!

Povetkin's titlist reign is one of the worst in boxing history. If Stiverne gets into shape I can see him kayoing Headvetkin. But he has to get in shape.

prime Stiv outpoints Pov but I think hes past it now and gets a long beatdown from Pov.

 

thats because it wasnt a title reign, it was a fake 2nd tier job. Pov has never won a world level fight to date, nevermind winning a title.

A great amateur, but he let it all slide.
