Definitely. He's lost muscle mass and gained fat, and on his old worn-out frame that's not going to bode well. If Whyte can't beat Povetkin this time, he needs to quit boxing for good.
Ofc he do. I have said this long time ago. His fellow Russian (whatever his name was) have said that he wasn't even a HW any longer, and that he lost significant amount of size. Povetkin himself trying to lesser thing, probably cause he have contract said that he lost around 8 pounds, which is still a lot. Have in mind he have Covid not once, but twice, and he was hospitalized twice. On top of that, when you have some illness, and forget about even COVID you will always going to lose some muscle mass, and on top of that he wasn`t able to train, it was quite obvious. I have said it already for a normal people to 100% recovered from a hard Covid, you need like 6 months, for athlete it may be even longer. Povetkin will be s**** to s*****.
Posted this in another thread but he seems to let it slip himself. Timestamped for convenience. This content is protected
5 pounds is a improvement for Whyte, probably the best we'll see from him since he lives on big macs. Povetkin heavier, so he might be a bit more sluggish this time around.
If this clearly juiced up Whyte can't beat this diminished looking Povetkin then he has no place at the elite level with the heavyweights.
Povetkin for me looks that he should had retired when he turned 37. ' BTW, after fights he still had won. I had watched ammy KBer and boxer Povetkin and might compare changes in agility with no problems.
If Povetkin wasn't a shot worn 50 year old he would mentally decapitate Whyte in this rematch. Whyte is getting by on youth & power against shot worn old talent. His size is actually irrelevant because he doesn't use it to any effect Both Whyte & AJ pumping themselves up to 250 lb's with turkey oil. How can they compete with natural big men like Fury? They can't is the answer.
No AJ and Whyte are clearly natural 250 pound men All you have to do is look at them when they were 20 years old...and Whyte's multiple drug failures and even bans. Fury at 20 years old was a natural 260 pound man...AJ and Whyte weren't even 230 pounds.
