41 post Covid Povetkin .. shame on Eddie Hearn .. he'll be asking Vitali back soon lol Povetkin should have retired after that win. His legs are gone, he looks stiff, he has power & seasoning but he's a spent force mostly, it's just that Whyte is overrated is fk , hence it was seen as a huge upset & must be immediately rectified.. He's always been Chisora level. Peak Povetkin beats the **** out of Whyte
One more so than the other by the looks of them.. it doesn't matter how many roids you take you can't suppress age.. not many other sports were 40+-year-olds are still competing at the top level, roids or no roids.. Hearn is an embarrassment with these matchups.. can't fault a guy like Povetkin for trying to get paid but in any other sport this guy would be on the seniors circuit… he looked awful in recent performances..
Yep. Me too. Infact I think he looks a lot better than I thought he would considering. Covid aside. I think he may just suprise us all again. One last hurrah.
Povetkin looks the same as the last fight... He has not lost muscle lol... that 4 pounds is water retention .. all the muscle is still there
Povetkin looks noticeably softer, smaller shoulders. Hopefully he has enough in the tank for a good fight. Not particularly a huge fan of either fighter. I just hope it's a good fight.
I hate to make false accusations, but Whyte looks to me like he is off the PEDs. POST SCRIPT: apparently a lot of others think the opposite.
Yeah Povetkin does look shot, but whyte has looked shot for longer and never had elite level skills or chin. Not gonna lie I'm worried but will back Povetkin until the end.
These guys make me feel better about the way I look. Jesus, you'd think they could train for something like this.
My takeaways from the weigh in : Whyte is not 6'4, if Povetkin is just shorter whilst in socks, than Whyte whilst in sneakers. Povetkin, from the side, has rather undefined arms. Povetkin looked slightly softer around the mid section than usual. Whyte looks in decent shape - probably not his best but not too far from it. I'm going to lean ever so vaguely towards a Whyte win. I'm absolutely fired up for this one.
His, kinda, undefined arms from the side were akin to an old man's, I thought. I always considered Povetkin to have decent guns. Not this time. Maybe covid really did a number on him.
I thought the same thing. I'm about 5 years older than Povetkin, and haven't trained my arms for a long while and when I saw him standing there from the side, I was like "I hope I don't have old man arms like that now". Gonna pump out a few sets of curls now. He looks pretty bad.
