Povetkin vs Wilder. Who wins?

Wilder is already 30 and still has major defense and coordination flaws. If everything goes as it's currently going, he will have no chance against Joshua (if he develops as planned) or any other elite prospect.

Wilder has good hand speed and power obviously, so it's not out of question he gets somewhat lucky and catches Povetkin with something big. Also, I doubt that only one good right hand would be enough to stop someone with the chin and determination of Povetkin, so it looks like it would be very hard for Wilder to pull this off.

He doesn't keep the distance well, and considering his bad defense, he would very likely be knocked out in the early-mid rounds by Sasha. He may defeat Stiverne (I still favor Stiverne though) due to styles, but not Povetkin.

 

Povetkin doesn't destroy people, you are right, but Wilder is that terrible that the first time Povetkin connects, Wilder will be on ***** street. The fight will last as long as Povetkin fights cautious, Wilder has power, but nothing else. This is a colossal mismatch in quality and Povetkin isn't even that good.

 

That's the problem. If they line him up against any top 30 fighter, there is a big chance he will get exposed. They want to cash ouy asap.
