So apparently Povetkins team is trying to get Mariusz Wach in the ring for his fight on November 4th of this year. Would be interesting to see how the 'improved' Povetkin can manage the iron chinned giant who easily lasted 12 rounds with Wladimir Klitschko.

Povetkins key to victory will be his work to the body. If he could stop the iron jawed Mike Perez in 90 seconds, he can do the same with Mariusz Wach. Perez lost his legs after a right hand to the body, and I believe Povetkin will do it again: land a straight right to the body and finish Wach of with a multiple hook combination to the head.

So here is my prediction if this fight happens:

Povetkin KO1 Wach and Wilder sh!tting his pants at ringside

    Update: Fight is happening!

Nice matchup! Fury ducked Wach and Ustinov. Will be nice to see how Povetkin handles Wach.

That's a bold choice. I knew they were gonna go with Someone big but I expected someone like dimitrenko.

I don't think it will happen. Wach is always rumored for interesting fights, Jenning, Joshua, among others, but they never happen. UD for Povetkin if it does, no way he ko's him.

If Povetkin cant get Wach for this one,may be Ustinov or some other giant with good chin/power [tho both are very slow].

    Dimitrenko has no chin-none.

Ustinov isn't as slow as you say. He dropped 20-30 pounds from the Pulev fight and has been looking better than ever since. Wach is much slower than Ustinov and Ustinov hits much harder as well.

That's why Dimitrenko makes more sense as a stay busy fight. Especially if the goal is to get someone more like Wilder. I think Wilder's chin is underrated, but I definitely think he's probably closer to Dimitrenko than Wach.

That's why he should fight Dimitrenko  Big, relatively fast with solid power and shaky chin.

Dimitrenko will go out in 1 round, whats the point really ? He fought awful opposition after his loss to Pulev and got knocked down twice also against Perkovic and another journeyman.

Other than that,Ustinov looks great yeah and improved...against Travis Walker and Perkovic tho and against 40 + years old midget Tua and Welliver.

Lots of guys hit harder. How good is their delivery system?

Povetkin has a hard and accurate hook. Takam should know! See below:

There is a reason why Fury ducked him big time.

Ustinov can easily last the distance if he rips a page from Wladimir's playbook and uses his size to just lay on Sasha all night. With enough clinching and mauling to complement his chin (buffering him against being one-shotted during the breaks) he should easily see the last bell...and hear shutout cards with him losing.
