For a last minute opponent he's decent enough, though I don't understand why he was picked so late in the day in the first place. Was there another fighter lined up who fell through?

Anyway, I hate to side with Dino, but I don't like the hypocrisy on display here. As mentioned previously this was an opponent tipped to be one of Wilder's comeback fight opponents in February, where he was mercilessly downplayed and tossed on the bum heap as another soft touch.

I realise there are different dynamics at play here, and that Wilder as a belt holder needs to be held to a higher standard, but there's a clear and consistent bias directed towards Wilder's opponents whoever they may be that isn't really present with anyone else. Wilder's opponent choices deserve to be criticised, but then so do Povetkin's under those same criteria.

Wilder / Stiverne 2 makes me barf though.

Frankly I'd rather see Povetkin get a turn at beating down Stiverne and Wilder take on Rudenko

he bitches about others fighting guys the fury boys have fought, yet defends their resumes. povetkin and pulev are bums for fighting guys the fury boys or wilder have fought. ustinov easily defeats anyone on either fury's resume, except wlad. doesn't get floored multiple times either.

They had several options for Povetkin's return, one option was to fight BJ Flores.Flores had discussions with Povetkin's camp.

Rudenko is a fringe contender, but he is ranked within all the organizations top 15. You're obviously too ******ed to understand that beating Rudenko will give Povetkin options for a world title within all the organizations. The WBC is protecting Wilder and will never get him in the ring with a top contender like Povetkin.

If Wilder would have fought Rudenko, it would have been a disgrace, certainly after being granted 5 voluntary defenses and fight the likes of teacher Molina, shot and overweight Arreola, football player Washington, French pastry chef Duhaupas and soccer hooligan Szpilka. Now he will fight Buffet King Stiverne next, probably being followed by another 5 voluntary defenses against low level opposition.

    They are not protecting him.

It was the WBC who ordered him to defend their belt against Povetkin within 12 months of him beating Stiverne.

Even after blowing a ped test , the WBC still gave Povetkin another opportunity . All he had to do was push Stiverne out of the way to regain his mandatory.
If they wanted to protect Wilder they would not have given Povetkin a second chance.

Why exactly would the WBC want to protect Wilder? Why didn't they protect Canelo when GGG came after his WBC belt? Canelo brings in far more money than Wilder.

If the WBC is protecting Wilder , why did they just put Wlad Klitschko at #2 in their rankings ? They obviously done that to try make Wilder vs Wlad.

Mauricio Sulaiman said he will do whatever it takes to make Wilder vs Joshua .

Where are your facts? That's just all talk, nobody cares about that. We all know that Wilders list of next opponents will be:

    Stiverne II
    Shot Helenius
    Fujimoto
    Molina II
    Breazeale

Wilder will never face Klitschko before Wlad turns 50.
