How would Povetkin's career have gone if he had hired Freddie Roach or Abel Sanchez as his trainer instead of Atlas?

Not too much different being that Wlad and his brother had all the belts. Atlas started to train him in 09 and left after refusing to go to Russia to train Povetkin for the Huck bout if memory serves. He did steer Povetkin away from Wlad in 2010. But Povetkin loses that bout at that time anyway. Atlas did waste his time with some lower level opposition which he was clearly superior too, I mean he beat Donald, Byrd and Chambers in like his 13,14,15th fight. And then went back to fighting lower level Comp for awhile before Atlas came on board. But Atlas didn’t show enough faith to push him back in with some better fighters.
So I think if he didn’t have Atlas he gets Wlad and loses in 2010 instead of 2013. Then during his comeback trail he gets one or two decent contenders on his resume that he lacks who was good around that time hard to remember. Maybe Thompson or Peter?

Sanchez never takes responsibility as a trainer when his guy loses. I would rather Povetkin go with Roach.

I don't trust Abel or his John Holmes mustache and the fact that he doesn't have a chin to know what it's like to get punch on one.
