As good as what you saw. Considering the level of stupidity of his trainers, Povetkin's style isn't going to improve any time soon.

Klitschko has fought several opponents who had more talent and better skills than Povetkin, but they lacked Povetkin's hunger. Povetkin comes to fight and is willing to endure adversity and keep on fighting. He has the heart of a champion and that is what the heavyweight division needs. Unfortunately he lacks the style to beat Klitschko. Povetkin likes to fight in straight lines, but that is Klitschko's specialty. If you give Klitschko what he needs he is going to beat you. Klitschko is too big, too strong, too fast and too good. If Povetkin tries business as usual Klitshcko will knock him out. He has to do something different.

You have got to be kidding. Landing at a rate of 20% is far from being accurate, mate. Check out the stats, cuz aside from defensive shortcomings this is Povetkin's second biggest problem - accuracy. He may throw in triple digits every round but he lands very few :deal

Povetkin is a very good fighter, he was very sick with the flu against Chambers and he still clearly won the fight and looked impressive...Povtekin is an exciting, aggressive, tough as nails fighter and he has great workrate for a heavyweight.

I like Povetkin very much. He is for sure a top 5 fighter, probably top 3. I see some people on here are saying he would be a problem for Wladimir because of this workrate..... His workrate is great but that can be changed easily. Prime example, Kassim Ouma v/s Jermain Taylor. Kassim usually averaged over 100 punches per round before that fight, then he got in the ring with someone bigger, great jab, and strong. We all know what happend to Kassims work rate... went to ****... Now with Wladimir, we're talking about someone that is going to really be hitting you, Alexander defense is weak down the middle, and that is where 80% of Wladimir's punches go. I believe Povetkins work rate will be voided due to wladimirs excellent Jab and straight punches.

I think that Povetkin has an opportunity to beat Vlad if he stays busy and applies pressure and maintains his good boxing ability. Peter didn't maintain his boxing composure against vlad while being aggressive. I do think that Vlad will win simply because of his size, speed and ability. Vlad has become hard to hit. He doesn't over extend himself , thinks constantly, and moves well along with his power Is tough for anyone to beat.

That is primarily a function of bad training. Whoever those fools are, they haven't shown him the proper way to set up knockouts. He makes the same mistakes fight after fight and shows very little improvement. Sometimes it is the man himself that won't listen to his trainer, but in this case I think it is the trainer's incompetence. Povetkin is too consistent with his mistakes to blame it on him. He is obviously disciplined and wants to win. It is too bad he is getting screwed by some dolts who think they know about boxing.
