I watched it a hundred times. He first throws a fake left jab to surprise Whyte, impairs him, drops his guard, moves left beautifully, gets inside, and then KABOOOM! Throws the most spectacular uppercut I have ever seen. Then walks away like a boss.

It was like he was in a training session with his trainer. They should make young boxers watch this uppercut in boxing schools. Fabulous!

    Let's roll it again:

My favourite KO since Maskaev obliterated Rahman.. It was perfection. What APs not getting credit for is despite being dropped twice he still maintained his form, stayed composed & was still thinking .. high ring IQ. That KO was summoning years and years of pedigree and experience despite being years past his physical peak. He knew this was probably his last shot at the big time.. mark of a great fighter that, he pulled it out of the bag..

That weave to the left before throwing the uppercut was very Tysonisque

It's a staple move of his. He did it a few times against Chagaev as well, but Chagaev's chin was sturdy enough to take it.

Go to the 1:30 mark for a good example.

He threw the jab to make Whyte throw a right hand, which Povetkin slipped and he stepped in as he slipped it. He snuck the uppercut into the gap as Whyte brought his right hand back and started a hook.
