    What about Tony Thompson?

He is the mandatory for the WBO belt.

Does he get the winner of Wlad-Ibagimov? Or does Povetkin?!

Other than heart, Povetikin was VERY unimpressive to me. Rugged, slow, and even when he threw 90 punches a round, very boring. Chambers however, looked impressive in the first 4 rounds but just gave up on himself for some reason or another. If Chambers had maintained what he showed early in the fight, i could see him outclassing lots of top HW's.

Povetikin will only beat guys with no heart or washed up veterans. He would have been picked apart by any top HW and will get murdered by Wlad. I just feel bad that Wlad has to fight him. It is a waste of a fight for him and he should be unifying in 2008.

Exactly, Povetkin is just an above average Heavyweight, who had his way with a washed up Bryd and overweight Chambers. Povetkin finally was exposed to everyone last night, as just an ok Heavyweight who I now could say is worse than Iggy.

Povetkin would beat wlad but he's not going to be fighting wlad. Ibragimov is going to ko wlad in 4 rounds.

Alexander Povetkin is clearly a more consistent and classy fighter built in Germany compared with the other eastern european block hwt title holders and olympian medalists. Let's just remember about two of the other top rated east european prize fighters and their own confrontation - Ruslan Chagaev and Nicolai Valuev... In a back and forth chess match, Chagaev won a MD over Valuev. Valuev threw nothing but jabs, and the southpaw Chagaev would duck them and throw lead lefts. Instead of attacking the body, he stuck and moved with great accuracy, and as the fight wore on he started putting together combinations. Chagaev got tired in the second half from constantly being on the move, but he was able to neutralize any of Valuev's uppercut attacks and even do a bit of inside fighting. From a technical standpoint, Sasha Povetkin does much more and much better than either of them - Chagaev and Valuev... So if one was to give a reasonable chance to Chagaev and Valuev against Wlad, it is obvious that Povetkin has that to say the least... I don't think Wlad stands head and shoulders above this guy but I will not rush to go into details on that since Ibragimov is a different kind of opponent and who presents considerable problems for him in his next match.

Wlad is so far ahead of anyone else in this division it is embarassing.

If Povetkin was heavy handed he would have a punchers chance, but he doesnt, so he has no chance.
