Well, it did not take long. Both Povetkin's manager and promoter are now pissed wth Teddy (Assholio) Atlas. They say Atlas was unprofessional, and wrong, on reason for bout cancellation. Their excuse is that Povetkin's father's death a few months ago were still too much on his mind. From the Donny Lalonde situation to Michael Grant, to lesser knowns he has worked with, Atlas is again center of feud, which I am sure he wil say is not his fault.

I'm sure he won't take the blame.

But if Atlas wanted to shitcan the fight, and Povetkin, his manager, and his promoter all strongly disagreed, I don't think Atlas could can it on his own.

No, you are right. However he has been known to get between fighterrs and their managers, and also moe known to feud with everyone when things start going wrong, or going gets tough.

They are mad at him saying Povetkin is not ready for title bout. I can't blame them. I also bet they are kicking them selves in ass for firing previous trainer to hire Atlas.

Meanwhile Pennsylvania athletic commisionn already closed probe of Povetkin -Bruce Seldon bout. That was quick investigation!

    Oh, I agree about that.

Any trainer that says a 31 yr old with plenty of experience and a mandatory shot isn't ready for a title fight, should either tell the guy to retire, or stop training him.

He's worse as trainer. He's only been great at promoting himself. Povetkin's people ****ed themselves when they hired him. In one of my old posts I said as soon as he was hired it would come down to a problem. I'm not surprised Pa. athletic commision dropped probe, just surprised they did so as fast as they did. A top contender against a fighter out on suspension? Very wrong.

If this was even remotely legit then Hrunov wouldn't have waited a month to speak up and say this after Peter had been named as a replacement and Povetkin got stripped of his ranking. Povetkin must have a team of Fedora wearing Monkeys on typewriters working around the clock in order to cultivate this brilliant face saving strategy.

Bruce Seldon is under suspension, he is not supposed to be in ring for a fight, maybe not even for sparring. Him and Povetkin fought last week, in what was called an exhibition, but there was no headgear, regular gloves instead of sparring gloves were worn, there was a referee, and Povetkin ko'd him in 4th round. It was not covered by news here in America, story was published in Soviet newspapers, which led to the already closed investigation.

Atlas is the one who is right. If Povetkin was truly bother by his relative's passing than he would of never agreed to the Wlad fight in the first place.

Povetkin's manager is just using Atlas as a scapegoat to get Povetkin's high ranking back again.

How? He made Povetkin sound like non-contender, he did not talk over things with manager and promoter, he did not tell truth apparently, and he let him fight in suspicious bout a few weeks within time he could have been fighting for title (Management may be to blame aslo on Seldon bout)

If Povetkin was bothered by father's death to point he could not fight, why say he is not ready for title shot?? Atlas made Povetkin look like ****.
