How do you rank it on 10 point scale? Obviously, he hits very hard if he scored brutal knockouts over Whyte, Takam, Duhaupas, Price, Perez, Charr, Boswell, Oruh... But with which heavyweights of the past you would compare his power?

That is the best punch he's thrown since the right hander on Perez five years ago but when you factor in he'd been on the floor twice here it beats that one. He is definitely slower than that prime tho.

He clearly hits hard, but in terms of sheer raw power I don't think he's up there with guys like Foreman, Shavers, Tua, Tyson, Wlad etc who have 10/10 in regards to power.

But in terms of punching ability he's top tier, what he does so well is sneak in shots you don't expect from unexpected vectors of attack and as we all know it's the shot you don't see coming that knocks you out. So while he lacks the heavy hands of some past greats his accuracy and ability to land when you least expect it makes him just as dangerous.

So on a scale of 10, I'd say 8 maybe even a 9 for power, but punch delivery 10/10.

AJ cause they both landed flush and AJ stoped him, but AJ didn`t stop Takam in the same fashion that Povetkin did, Povetkin punches like Shavers.

Povetkin has great power 7 or 8 out of 10.

I reckon Povetkin would have stopped Joshua, if the bodybuilder was as aggressive in the first Ruiz fight. Anthony didn't start getting aggressive until the 7th round.

I dont think It's necessarily his power, but his incredible technique makes the difference. When he hits you perfectly on the button, it's game over

Such a blistering heavy shot, watching it again and it's a blink and you miss it.

    Hits extremely hard.

Michael Hunter said that even the little shots and combinations were surprisingly heavy and Bryant Jennings who has sparred him said that if you let him fight at his preferred range he will **** you up, and he put emphasis on the ****

He's got the best KO HL reel in the division whilst simultaneously also arguably having the best resume of any world class fighter at the weight. How many HL reel KOs has he scored and with both hands too? Hooks and uppercuts.

He has good power but it was the timing of the punch that put Whyte to sleep. . Whyte's body and neck was relaxed when that counter uppercut come up his blind side as he missed the jab. . Whyte to me still looked wobbly as he walked back to his camper van.. Getting hit with a shot like that you don't see coming is brutal

Still technically the best HW out there and his punch technique is very good. Excellent weight transfer, dipping, crouching and pivoting from the hip.

The other HWs are either too lazy or incapable of having the same mechanics in their punches. Old school at its best .
