wish wilders team took this approach instead of crying and stopping the povetkin fight

Povetkin vs Stiverne sitll on because team povetkin is not crying to get fight cancelled

I think this is the right approach in this case. Although I believe the WBC is very quick in this case to buy the story of the food supplement, while they went months and months over something that WADA had already cleared in Povetkin's case, I think the special testing from now up till the fight for Stiverne is adequate to make sure the fight happens.
Of course the WBC were left with little options in the Wilder vs Povetkin case, when he turned tail and moved back home before there was any ruling either way.

To be fair to the WBC it wouldn't take much investigation to confirm Stiverne's story. They would have had WADA test the supplement he took to confirm the presence of the banned substance, spoken to the tester who saw him take the supplement and verified that the EOS gym in Henderson did recommend this supplement to Stiverne. If all that was verified it's an easy step to accept it as truth and this was just a case of accidental consumption of a PED.

If that's how it went, then I'm totally ok with it.

Well or because Povetkin is quite desperate himself, as he's not getting younger and is a massive favorite over Stiverne -- no matter if doped or not. Seems to me Povetkin wants to get this fight over with and get in the ring with Wilder without further delays.

Nice to see a refreshing lack of hypocrisy here.

He was cleared of not taking any illegal drugs, and he was never even accused of taking steroids. Ok you pathetic little man.

People have got to stop getting this wrong. Povetkin wasn't cleared. He wasn't really convicted either. It was determined there was insufficient and ambiguous evidence, so the baby was split, he was basically put on probation.

    It's the other way round.

Nobody gives a sh*t about Stiverne juicing because Povetkin beats him peds or no peds.

I don't think any boxer should cry and refuse to fight an opponent simply because they're on PEDs.
In the real world you have to fight 'roided people sometimes.

    That's nonsense.
Everybody remembers a fight like Lebedev vs Jones and the aftermath, where Jones walked down Denis leaving him with that horrid looking eye, almost ending the man's career. Should they really have went trough with the rematch in your opinion?!
