Utterly ridiculous comment. Would you still hold this position if eubank tested positive for the blackwell fight? or the guy who fought mike towel ?

Some fighters just have so much confidence they don't give a sh*t what the other guy is on.
Wilder is not one of those fighters.

Povetkin's team doesn't want the fight called off because ... if it is ... Povetkin will have to fight Wilder in early 2017 - like February or March.

If he fights Stiverne first ... he can keep postponing the Wilder fight. And postponing it. And postponing it.

Povetkin doesn't want to fight Wilder. He doesn't want to fight Joshua. He doesn't even want to rematch with old Wlad.

Povetkin wants to win paper belts, make paper belt defenses against nobodies, and milk yet another vacant paper belt until he retires.

    That's all.

Can't blame the dangers of boxing on PEDs. You don't have to be a 'roid monster or even a big puncher to damage a brain or kill a man with repeated blows to the head. Anyone with the fitness to throw punches for 3 rounds is potentially lethal.
Getting punched in the head is the problem there.
Banning punches to the head would be the solution.

I'm just stating the facts. Every fighter has fought opponents on PEDs, and I think we all know that all the top fighters take PEDs anyway. Same as any other sport, the top athletes are using drugs.

    Thank you kindly.

Others have said that you are a brash and harsh individual, given to taking the mickey out of those of a lesser mind to you.

    They were wrong.

He's just trying to defend Fury. I wouldn't bother arguing the toss on that with him.

I'm not quite sure that I understood that, so I'm just going to go with the notion that you were complimenting me again :)

    Not true.
I've been posting opinions about PEDs use for years. Long before any allegations about Fury.

    Top athletes are on PEDs.
    That's the bottom line.
You likely don't get to the top without them, and if by some slim chance you do become elite without them, you'll regularly be up against people who use them.
Everyone who knows about sports knows that, unless you have your head up your a$$.

That's becaause he would look like a hypocrite dummy if he did. Did Salido cancel his fight with Vargas after Vargas got busted for PEDS? No he didn't because he himself had got busted previously.

Apologies if true but I'd not seen you post 'fighters should fight PED cheats regardless' before Fury got outted as a hypocritical drugs cheat. I'd also say that boxing being sometimes a case of legalised murder - people are sometimes beaten to death for our entertainment - that fighters have a responsibility not to dope or fight dopers.

Considering how critical you are of some fighters whilst continually giving Fury a pass, it does make me wonder just what he'd have to do to draw any sort of complaint from you about his actions.

Well, depends on which sport are you talking about.

For example volleyball and football in Italy or in general have very strict doping control and harsh punishments and athletes are generally clean at all levels. Too much paranoia and not much truth in your statement.

If someone gets caught, he should face consequences. Just ignoring that and saying "all athletes are on PEDs" is ridiculous and unacceptable.

I was critical of Floyd Mayweather years ago for making an issue out of Pacquiao's PED use (alleged, if you want), back in 2009 or 2010. Like others, I wondered why Mayweather didn't just fight Pacquiao under the same conditions DeLaHoya, Hatton and Cotto did. I believe Mayweather was on PEDs too, of course.

The flipside to your argument about doping in boxing is that boxers do believe they have a responsibility to protect themselves at all times, and unfortunately boxers (like all other athletes) do take PEDs because they don't want to put themselves at a disadvantage.

Tyson Fury is irrelevant to this thread.
I'll complain about him being a fat, inactive, tweeting waste of space if you want, but it's kind of off-topic.
