Please explain how it works in Germany as far as drug testing??? Is the GBO the boxing commision there? What happens when a foreign fighter trains in his own country and shows up for the fight just a few days before.......I'm assuming that fighter is'nt randomly tested??? If this is true that fighters are randomly tested year round in Germany, what the hell are other countries waiting for to change their protocol to current methods?atsch
The GBO is in charge. if a contract is signed to fight in Germany all fighters can be tested at any time during training camp where ever training camp is. Year round I dont know. I believe that once a contract is signed to fight in Germany, then GBO takes over and the fighter can be tested at any time. But dont quote me on it. I think thats what I heard them saying about how it works. I do know that for Wlad RTL has a right to test also
I doubt very seriously that the GBO would go to the training camp of a foreign land like the US to test a fighter that is going to compete there. .......which is why we need all the boxing orginizations to agree that all fighters at the world class level and rated on a high scale by them should be tested anywhere in the world by them. ......because quite frankly I dont see how it would work with one commision based in one state demanding these tests from a fighter thats clear on the other side of the world.
.......and if this is true, then Wlad should not have a problem with the demands from Povetkin that he get tested. There is no reason why Wlad would say no to the testing then since he routinely gets tested in that manner anyways.
They would use an agent I would think. Because of the world wide nature of some sports I would think that they have agreements in place.
well they have the right to do the test. Dont know if they would go to the states or not, but they can if they want to. Your right though. There needs to be world unified testing. its called a "world championship" so why not have world unified testing rules?
Wlad wont have an issue with the test. That I do know. Thats why the whole thing is so stupid coming from Team Povetkin. But if it makes them feel better and will finally get his ass in the ring to fight Wlad...FINE! although... you will see what wlad has to say about Haye next week when he releases a video statement. Povetkin might have to wait anyways:hey:hey:thumbsup
My impression was he asked to raise doubts about Wlad. That was my take on it. Let's face it. The trainer admits he isn't ready. He is the mandatory. Any edge they think they can get...... Pathetic really. Trying to make it look like he is taking the initiative when that was preempted on the issue anyhow.
your right. its smoke and mirrors as they say. But when Wlad says fine and tests negative everytime, they will look like the idiots they really are. IMO hiring Atlas was a huge mistake by team Povetkin. Atlas's ego is so big, he seems to try and take the spotlight off the actual guy who needs it just so he can shine it on himself..... SAD
I'll tell you what they're trying to do. Sauerland and the gang. Like they found a way to steal Chagaev's belt and hand it to Valuev on bull**** Hep charges, likewise they are trying their luck with the IBF. Last year they tried bribing an IBF official to sanction an interim title fight so Povetkin would get a belt without fighting the champ. Team Klitschko intervened. This time they are trying to see if they can stir **** up with this WADA thing and maybe get lucky and get hold of the belt while avoiding the fight at the same time. With those sneaky bastids you never know really. I mean they DID steal the belt from Chagaev and got away with it after all.
