:verysad power not workrate he knocked guys down but it wasnt by the one shot it was by figting after 10 rounds of constant pressure
i has said this for ages and i will always say it's julian jackson his power was truly awful. he knocked norris out with one punch woke him up with another then put him back to sleep with the last. he made the rock hard chinned mcCallum do a judah dance. you gota remember that his power was so feared that few people dared touch him. the only men to fight him from a better vantage would be terry norris who was an amazing welter gereld mcCllelen the hard hitting middlewieght who would get a mention in power. and mike mcCAllum. all these men were MEN who were brave enough to fight him
look man anyone can ko anyone doesnt matter what rate of chin and power. hanks one shot power isnt as good as the resat of coarse he could knock guys out with one punch but it wasnt because of his one shot power it was becuase of his pressure that gained the knockout...of course he would get a count out in the early rounds. he wasnt featherfisted by no means but to say he has better power than jackson ,mcClellen ,foster ,lewis, luois, foreman, shavers. good power but not the hardest puncher p4p by no means
I wasn't talking about ranking him with those guys, i'm just saying that at his best he's a fair bit better than the accumulation puncher some of you bracketed him as. I can't believe i got no support on the matter Maybe i overrate him.
No, you´re right, look, like you correctly wrote HH was an impressive and murderous puncher at his natural lower weights, it seems to be that some people here just think of him as a 147 lbs., but that wasn´t his natural weight. Some here pick Julian Jackson, sure, a fighter with great one-punch-power, but who did he KO´ed? Graham, Cardamone? Not the sort of fighters HH KO´ed brutally...
Foreman and Shavers KO´d 99 % bums for example, than we could also take Don Steele or Ed Mahone as great examples of one-punch-power. Don´t look always at boxrec at the KO-%...
Thanks mate, and nice post too i must say. For a split second i thought i might see you mentioning Roldan as your pick!
No. But with Roldon I simply meant he had a harder punch if he landed on his opponent than some much better fighters. But he lacked the speed/technique most great fighters had/ have...
I'm still not agreeing he was a KO merchant. A clubbing merchant yes, but not a spark outcold man. His power IMO pales to a Hearn's, Valdez and co.
He had very good ponderous power for sure. A powerful puncher a rung or two below people like Valdez, Hearn's, Jackson and co.
