Babality has an interesting thread going in which he asks who has the most aesthetically pleasing punching technique (Ali was my choice). It got me thinking about form & technique as they relate to power punchers.

    1. We know there are guys that are devastating punchers who are physically extremely powerful yet have below average or even bad technique (Deontay Wilder, for instance).

    2. Then, there are guys who are monster punchers that do not appear to be exceptionally strong, but have excellent technique, form & timing (Archie Moore, for instance).

    3. And then, there are power punchers that have a combination of above average strength and excellent technique (Lennox Lewis, for instance).

Any interest in throwing out some names in these 3 categories?

On the matter of Wilder, I think it's important to note that Wilder has titanium in his right hand, literally. He has titanium rods in his hand due to a hand injury when he was younger. Watch his KO of Helenius 0.5x speed if you haven't, a normal hand couldn't KO someone while landing like that.

Also, I'll give some answers later, I'm just going to think on it some when I'm more in the mood. Obviously I have to say Inoue for #3, but I'll give some less predictable answers later.

Golovkin is physically powerful and has the kinetic chain down pat. Only thing he lacks is a good turn of speed.
