PPV Card on Sat = Gash Cards for next 4 months

Fast Car has put on a pretty good card here and I don't understand the backlash.In Canada the PPV price is only $19.95-although the downside it's airing at 1 pm and is scheduled for 5 hours of boxing.Not bad but who wants to hide in the house for 5 hours on a nice sunny day?

 

I said this before but the fight I am really looking forward to is Ryder v Blackwell (although Linares v Mitchell is a close second). However, is it really needed on this card?! I mean how many more tickets is is helping sell, PPVs bought?

Both fighters may disagree but is it really in their best interests to be out at 6-7pm in front of a more than half empty arena? Does it help Ryder's (Blackwell is a Hennessy fight so Hearn doesn't care) exposure to the wider audience and future potential marketability?!

Eddie Hearn might tell me that I don't understand how the business works etc etc, but this is exactly the type of fight that should be on the Saturday Fight Night. He could then chuck on a couple of his named fighters (Joshua, Callum Smith, Luke Campbell in tune ups). There is absolutely no excuse for this. There has not been one decent fight on a domestic Sky tv card this year, its a disgrace.

I could write about this for ages but but going the Intercontinental/Silver/Interim route this is the rubbish you get. Ranking fights for boxers who are not at that level and in some cases may never be. The British title is perfect for competitive fights yet Eddie 50/50 'give the fans what they want' Hearn doesn't like that route.
