So what if he made 32 million? we are calling it how it is, you all said he is the biggest draw and that this fight will easily do a million, you all say he will sell 1 million by himself what the **** happened?
Cotto, marquez, and mosley were big names. Show me the gate and numbers of cards they headlined. Didnt we go over this?
Let's see what the official numbers are. Who knows if we'll get them if news goes sour, though. I know Pac-Clottey and Pac-Bradley did sub 1M but that was with far less advertisement. Showtime has been plugging Mayweather and saturating all the sport channels with commercials about this matchup. May day with Robert "the giant killer" Guerrero.
You've been delusional PBF is currently the biggest draw in boxing period end of discussion. You're opinion is irrelevant the fact is he's the biggest and the face of the sport today.:deal
These numbers aren't official smartass. The last time you jumped the gun you got burned. Does Gabe Montoya ring a bell?:rofl I rest my case.:hi:
Guerrero gets no PPV upside. He gets a flat fee like Victor Ortiz did. Mayweather gets PPV upside if it reaches a certain mark
I went to the theater also and it was actually packed...I got there right as the Love - Rosado fight ended and could barely find a seat, had to sit up front. It was fuller then Mayweather vs Ortiz in theaters where I watched it so im kinda surprised at "under 1.0 mil"...I thought maybe CBS had gotten the mainstream tv people to buy in but I guess not. Floyd is laughing all the way to the bank....LOL
Its safe to jump the gun here and you know it. Your boy can NOT sell 1 million on his own as you all claimed. I mean for **** sakes when Pac vs Mosley can do a Million knowing that Mosley was shot to **** and a walking dead man.... You really have to wonder is Floyd really that big of a draw? or perhaps his fan just are not loyal.... if thats the case you all have yourselves to blame
You forgot about the distributors, they get a big chunk: directTV, Comcast, ATT Uverse, Time Warner etc
of the 60 million in that scenario: 6 mil goes to Showtime that leaves 54 million 27 million will go to the cable systems that showed the fight (Time Warner, Direct TV, Comcast, Cox and Charter etc) to be split up the remaining 27 mil will go to the promoter 6+27+27=60 mil :good
This isn't a surprise bc they didn't promote this fight well at all. That weak has May Day **** with Floyd talking was stupid and nobody outside of boxing fans knew who Robert was. Also they didn't even go on a big time media tour like they did with HBO. I also think the all access or whatever was weak too. They need to pay that dude from Gorilla Productions to do some **** for them.
So apart from the usual Floyd haters Fat Dan and of Pacquaio cheerleaders Yahoo sports, no one else has confirmed it?
