People said anywhere from 800k to 1.2 mil. So unless it did literally 600k or fewer, I don't think it's all that big of a deal. Guerrero brings less to the table than any of his previous opponents since Baldomir, so it would be natural for it to do less.
But Mayweather-Guerrero was. That's right, Guerrero is a more legitimate WW then Clottey and Margarito in your world.
:deal The only Mayweather fights people would pay to see are vs Canelo or Pacquiao. Don't expect any other Floyd fight to do big numbers. To some degree it's a testament of Mayweather's skill. There's almost no one out there close to his division that can trouble him.
No he doesn't. What they need to do is a damn press tour next time for starters. 2) Get someone who can actually produce a decent promo commercial. **** get Gorilla Productions to do that **** and it will be amazing. 3) Don't show no more of Floyd walking around with his entourage talking about nothing. I was not feeling any of that all access ****. 4) They should have let the fathers fight. lmao ha 5) Fight a well known opponent. 6) Also drop that Money Mayweather **** and go back to Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather.
Nah he just needs to fight someone who's better known. Guerrero has no recognition and was boring. Most people I know that usually order PBF PPVs instead went to the bars to watch the fight. Only a few I know actually got the fight at their house.
He just needs to fight a credible opponent. Casuals knew two things heading into this fight: 1. Guerrero stood no chance. 2. There wouldn't be a knockout. It's pretty damn hard to sell a fight like that. Get a better opponent and people will pay.
Margo was a disgraced cheat who was banned from boxing and Clottey was coming off a loss so yeah Guerrero who earned his shot as a mando was more legitimate.
I wasn't paying no ****en $60 to watch Floyd toy with Guerrero, so I asked a few people that normally get fights and all of them knew May was fighting but none knew the other guy, no one bought it... Floyd needs to step it up or fight on regular Showtime (non ppv).
