    Wow! Pac vs Hatton have over 1 million more buys than the PBF vs Hatton. Pacman definitely sell more PPV and should have more leverage during the fight negotiation with PBF.

    ======================================================
    MANILA, Philippines - The pay-per-view sales for the Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton fight could reach 2 million buys, CNN.com, referring to a report on USA Today on Monday, said on its Web site.

    If the exact total is confirmed, it would likely rank second on the all-time list of highest PPV buys among non-heavyweight fights. The Oscar de la Hoya-Floyd Mayweather Jr. outing in May 2007 ranks first with 2.4 million buys.

    In cash, it would mean the fight had raked in nearly $100 million as PPV access was pegged at almost $50. Half of the sum would go to HBO, while the remainder will be split between the two fighters. Under the deal, Pacquiao is entitled to 52% of the PPV pie while Hatton gets 48%.

    The aggregate buys would easily eclipse each fighters' previous best. Pacquiao's date with De la Hoya last year netted 1.25 million PPV buys, now the fourth-highest in the aforementioned category. Hatton's 2007 meeting with Mayweather earned 915,000 buys.

    The global economic downturn has dampened expectations over Pacquiao's last two fights, but that hasn't reflected at the turnstiles -- at least for Pacquiao. Even Bob Arum, Pacquiao's promoter, wasn't hoping for much prior to the weekend blockbuster bout.

    Bit of a contradiction giving that Mayweather-DLH done 400,000 more. Yes DLH was probably the draw, but Pacman didn't get 2 million buys on his own.

    I think they should split it 50-50 for the sake of fairness and making the ****ing fight happen!

    CNN is referring to a USA Today article which is referring to BOB ARUM saying it did 2 million buys.

    Don't jump to believe that just yet. I think it'll do about 1.6 mil which is still outstanding.

    Hatton's payment for the fight -

    Purse: $12,000,000? (I think)
    US PPV's: $24,000,000
    UK PPV's: Approx £1,500,000? (I think)

    Plus any other income, maybe a portion of gate receipts or something? He must of got at least $40,000,000 for this fight.

    Hatton did 1million PPV in Britain last time, which would be £15m. Arrum maybe including the BRit PPVs in his figure, as we know Arrums full of **** most the time.

    OK.

    In the end PAC vs HATTON will generate at least 1/2 a million more buys than PBF vs HATTON.

    PAC should ask for 45/55 - 48/52 split in his favor.
