This is the first discussion about price I have come across although to be fair I haven't been following super close, and that's worrisome. The 85$ fee is about 20 bucks too much. No wait!!! Does that include the HD premium? I bet not, so here we are again folks at the 100 damned dollar PPV. Oh excuse me, make that 95$. Not for me, I'll catch it on replay or by some other means.

I am so tired of "what the market will bear" mentality when it comes to most things in north america. Stupid money has it's downside! We are being taken advantage of. Remember when you could buy the exact same computer game in thailand for 10 bucks that would cost you 80 here? And that's not a bootleg, that's a new in package game. It's time to fleece the sheeple again!

To the thread question, I think that the largest boxing audience, the middle class is dead and buried so to speak, never to fully recover, just like PPVs and so although a fight of this magnitude would, if properly promoted and priced, easily do over 1.5mil buys, this spectacle featuring an in prime fighter against an over the hill on the downslide fighter will probably do around half of that, I'm gonna guess 800k. This feels like the top 2 or 3 biggest fight that can be made right now in boxing and most here doubt it's gonna pass the million mark. That doesn't seem good for the sport. And we're not even getting 2 in prime top fighters facing each other!!

State of the forum... we have PPV buy predictions now rather than just fight outcome predictions. Sad.

This will eventually happen here. Maybe not as expensive but believe me it will happen and it’s because of Hearn and his idiotic bum boys.

Will do less than the last fight IMO. **** poor promotion of this fight.

Yeah, it does. I might pay $50 tops for it. $85? Not a chance, just not that interested after the fake draw and the "tainted meat".

The PPV is going to be $85? The nearest theater even showing it is 20 miles away from where I live. This is disgusting all around. Canelo is not Floyd Mayweather, much as Oscar tries to make him such. He deserves to get KO'ed this weekend.

Oscar writes a letter complaining how Floyd ruined boxing and then does the exact same things he just got done complaining about.

If the American mugs still pay it then it won't change. I would never pay £85 in UK for any fight, it's ludicrous. It's 2 months worth Sky Sports subscription FFS.

Well you can thank GGG for the increase in the PPV price. His diva ways demanding more $$ and a bigger split is why the fight is more $$ this time around. That said, it's still $15 less than Mayweather McGregor and Mayweather Pacquiao.

Canelo will probably do about 600-700k buys. Canelo's fights usually do decent numbers.

It amazes me how many clueless uneducated people bring that up as if they're freeing the world from corruption. You do realize that the death of PPV pretty much means the death of the sport, right?. These fighters don't aim to make it far in a deadly sport like this for peanuts.

So far in Canada I haven't heard any of the sports stations even talking about it radio or TV. Usually any significant fight you hear something but surprised nobody seems to be talking about it unless I missed it.

I think it's gonna do well tbh, purely from the Mexican fanbase.

Those who were buying the first one (1.3M) gonna buy the rematch aswell, and the story just got bigger.
I expect 2 million as last time it was hurt by the McGregor circus. But I don’t know about the hurricane

I definitely don't see it doing a million. I wouldn't be surprised at like 600k with that price and just the whole, you know boxing always driving people away after each big fight thing
