What do you think the PPV sales will be for this fight? Will it top Canelo vs GGG, Fury vs Wilder, Mayweather vs Pacquiao?
I think this is mostly us hardcore fans. If folks don’t know the real history of the division they have no reason to buy. Poorly promoted but I’ll still predict at least 550-750,000 buys
550,000. If it does more than 600,000 that would be great. Anything more than 700,000 would be a huge surprise. Davis Garcia did more than a million right? That was a much bigger event.
800,000 at best 600,000 more realistic. Casuals don't know either. Sad truth is casuals will be more excited for Fury NNganou, driven by the UFC braindead crowd hyping it up by talking about it. A fair few celebs will be out for Crawfish Spencer though...which is what we have to deal with for most of this broadcast. Given both were looking for something like $20m each they'll be doing well to break even...hence why if it's a close exciting fight expect that draw decision.
No idea but I just ordered it here in the UK. First PPV I have bought in a long time. I usually just stream but will be taking no chances of buffering and lost streams for this fight
Yeah pretty much agree with the others, 600k is a rough figure that instantly sprung to mind. Would be surprised if it was below 400k or it was nearer the 1 million mark.
Boxing will likely take a backseat to the major UFC card going on tonight which will probably do above 1 Million buys unfortunately. This fight will likely do respectable numbers but only a fraction of what fight like this deserves to do.
Who cares how much money this fight will make? Not like any of us will get a buck from the event. The most important thing is that the fight delivers and the result is just.
This is more for people who follow the sport rather than the general public. I think 600-800k would be a decent result all round, I can't see it doing that much more.
Anything above 400,000 is a good night considering poor promotion and going up against a stacked UFC card boxing undercards really leave alot to be desired not worth shelling out for
