I think ppv cards will be very frequent across the globe now thanks to may pac.....i mean 100$ for a boring may fight....promoters will be putting a couple of world title fights on their cards and that will be it....PPV NOW......EDDIE HEARN STYLE and charge 40-50$ or£

I think that ppv slop could have finally sunk the ppv model, at least temporarily. My greatest fear is that these free tv fights are only to start new hype trains to slowly resurrect ppv, like they did before ppv was established. Wash, rinse, repeat.

You still gotta have a superstar in order for people to buy. You have to be big enough, and sorry for Cotto and Canelo, but Mayweather and Pacquiao are still the only ones who are big enough. It's just a different level of star.dom.

Didn't May2 prove just the opposite buffy?? The supposed fight of the century was a façade. Anyone that bought that fight got ROBBED!!! No matter which side you hold responsible it was NEVER going to be a competitive fight

No, the FOTC proved my point. If you have two superstars, geez.. you can make half a billion dollars...

Also, CJ, it was competitive. Clear winner, but it was competitive.

We'll see, two things could happen.

    A) ppvs price increase due to the high success of a $100 PPV bout

    Or

    B) people wise up and spend less. Speak with your wallet.

I'm guessing option B based on the fact that I've yet to meet anyone who ordered that fight and not complain about it.
