Well as far as boxings free shows and the contender theres a difference between there stuff and MMAs. UFC has like 2 TUF seasons a year boxing has 1 contender a year and its getting later in the months every year so we wait longer plus the contender is usually filled with guys we already know and fail agianst the elite or top contenders. While UFC brings in a bunch of young prospects noboddy knows and has them train under the guidance of Championship level fighters. Also look at UFCs free shows over the last 3 years they have had Ken Shamrock,Rich Franklin,Anderson Silva,Tito Ortiz,Cro Cop,Tim Sylvia,Andrei Arlovski, the Championship unifcation fight between Rampage and Dan Henderson ETC all this and more for free. On cable TV we never see superstar boxers the closest we had off the top of my head is Zab Judah on ESPN last year coming off 3 straight losses and we got Toney-Rahman 2 on Wednesday but noboddy cares about it now. I wish everything could change slightly like some of the fights like Pac-Diaz that dont deserve PPV go on free HBO. Then some of the HBO-Showtime cards start going to ESPN like Vic Darchiyans next fight would be a start.

You misunderstand me. PPV is fine for know boxers in mega fights but they go there too early before they have enough exposure. Look at teh career of Hatton and Khan.... they got (are getting) their name about on normal TV, so when Hatton went to PPV he got big numbers as wil Khan.

I'll rephrase it. Too much PPV is killing boxing.

You know what, I have always thought that was no more than 10%, and that's why I asked the question. I don't understand how people look for a scapegoat when it is obvious that no matter what they have done wouldn't have matter at the end.

You have a valid point. boxers should be exposed more on non PPV events, so people would have a better idea about who they are when the time comes for those boxers to fight on PPV.
