Ha ha yeah Lewis was a beast, I was abit emotional after watching Bellew snooze fest last night, Christ it was fecking poor..
woke up this morning with a rank head about 8 cans of San Miguel and got wired into the dark rum... Looked at this thread I started and thought it wasn't a bad effort after last nights efforts.

  5. Yeah we need to move on badly here. There is a stack of talent professional and amateur in britain, maybe not elite but Haye, cleverly, froch, macklin, brook, khan and burns are world class
I really wish joe had gone to usa earlier to avoid these constant prime calzaghe/hopkins/jones jnr arguments
Also not that we will ever know but i highly suspect he would lose both and to andre ward as well

Anybody could lose to a prime Hopkins or Jones cos they're quality but even if Calzaghe had gone earlier those fights wouldn't have been made. They weren't the easiest to deal with back in the day and Hopkins only started taking on more when he went to light heavy and thats when the Calz fight was made. Still Calzaghe should have gone earlier but was too much of a homeboy and we know what W*rren 's views are on taking fighters away from home. So they weren't a good marriage in that regard! Calzaghe needed a promoter who'd kick him up the arse and out of Wales.

As for Ward, Calzaghe beats him every time. Stamina like

What Hopkins the man who is still winning world titles now... As for Ward he Is a good talent but I expect Joe to win that as well as Froch...
Now Roy Jones in his prime now that is a different story my ginger warrior..

  9. Calzaghe wasnt a name before lacy or kessler so not going to usa was i suspect not even f***ks fault.I think a better argument could be how much joes hand injuries affected his carear.
The slapper is often used phrase for a man who definately had a dig on him but had to alter his boxing to counteract his constant hand problems.
A joe calzaghe with power and speed is for me on a par with todays andre ward who didnt get enough credit for dawson win.
Im still a big calzaghe fan though and he is british great
