The only thing that really pisses me off about Taylor is he doesn't learn, and doesn't listen to Manny. I don't know personally I just don't think he's a smart fighter or even a smart person. Pavlik seems level headed and cool, absorbing what his corner says.

Taylor may be a little smarter this go around.

But the end result: Pavlik. He'll know what to expect too.

Both fighters showed flaws in their last fight and both fighters will likely make adjustments in their next fight. ( if it happens. Taylor is just blowing smoke until pen hits paper )

    ------Pavlik------
Taylor likely likely won't see a gift "lapse of judgement" like he did in the first fight. Worse for Taylor, Pavlik has now experienced his speed and will be better defend himself. In particular when he drives Taylor into the corner he'll know to use his superior range when he's pounding on Taylor so Taylor can't fight back well out of the corner. Last Pavlik now knows that Taylor has stanima problems and surely double his efforts to exploit them.

    ------Taylor------
If Taylor learns nothing else he must learn to defend himself against the jab. ( Though he better not fall into the trap thinking that's Pavlik's only weapon ) If his trainers are smart they'll instruct him not to go all out looking for the KO. The odds of catching Pavlik goofing off twice are slim and Taylor's stanima problems became glaring in rounds 3 and 7 of the last fight. If Taylor can defend himself from Pavlik's attack and use his superior speed to score enough punches to win the rounds then he can make it to a decision win.

    ----How I See It-------
Pavlik will force Taylor to fight at a higher pace. With possibly the exception of defensive specialists the busier fighter sets the pace of the fight. Taylor may improve his defense but he's no where near that point. Pavlik may even throw more body punches to exploit Taylor's stanima problems. Taylor's speed may win him the first few rounds, but Pavlik will be relentless. As Taylor gets fatigued his defenses will falter and Pavlik will start hitting with more accuracy. And once Pavlik gets his rhythm down, the end is not far off.

Pavlik wins by round 8 TKO

Expect the same results. I bet, JT will be without Manny. KP = KO rd.7

Exactly. If plan A doesn't work, there is no plan B.

Kelly's gonna have to be cautious early, cause thats JT's only chance. After a few rounds, he's done for. NOBODY lasts & improves against Pavlik as the fight goes on.

But this STILL isn't a done deal yet.

I find that Jermain's mental capacity is decreasing quickly now, in particular, his ability in visualizing the effects, consequences and possibilities of suffering the same fate or else, his path has led definitely into a dead end... What is he tryin to prove? That he is not a bit afraid of Kelly Pavlik?...

I think this all comes down to money. Having been spoiled by big paydays (3 mil last fight, similar gross ammount for Spinks fight ) that HBO was giving him, Taylor just isn't willing to go down to smaller purses. At this point the only BIG money fight for Taylor is Pavlik. If he can beat Pavlik then he can go onto face Calzaghe or Kessler or even Pavlik again for the trilogy. If he loses then at least he'll have the millions earned from the rematch to comfort him as he decides whether he's willing to fight for lesser ammounts or if retirement is looking pretty good.
