Although I now have more respect for Taylor then I had prior to September 29th, I expected him to last longer. I thought he would make it into the 10th or possibley 11th round. As it stands he only lasted about 2 minutes longer than Bronco McKart, and 2 rounds less than Zuniga. Personally I see an immediate rematch as disatrous for JT. He'll lose the rematch in a one-sided beat down because Pavlik is smart enough to make adjustments based on the last fight, and Taylor is not. How long has he been holding that left way to low? How long has he been backing into the ropes instead of moving laterally? He doesn't improve. Pavlik does.

JT should move up, fight a couple 2nd tier guys, and then go after the big guns at 168. Hopefully he could win another world title, and wait for Pavlik to move up. Even with that I see another Hearns / Barkley affair: the type of thing where on paper one fighter SHOULD beat the other 9 out of ten times, but loses two titles to him.

    Boo

    Taylor-----"What happened"

    Manny----"You got knocked out"

    Taylor----"I did?"

    Manny---"You sure did"

Taylor---"I want to fight him again"

    Pavlik---"OK"

All the Taylor nut huggers---"Oh Taylor will whoop his ass, Pavlik got lucky--blah blah blah:-(

My one and only question to Taylor huggers---Hows come when taylor brought his "heat" and knocked down pavlik he didnt stay down?? But when pavlik knocked down taylor, taylor was asking his trainers what happened? Pavlik is superior to taylor.

    Pavliks the Champ.

Oh I am hoping sooo mucg that Kelly knocks him out again..
On the other hand I am already getting nervous by the thought of it if taylor wins it..

I have the feeling taylor can adjust and change his tactic for this fight but pavlik not. I like him a lot but he is kind of one dimensional.

I don't like it but I think JT can win it:-(

Dear Sir: In view of the circumstances that prefaced Mr.Taylor and Mr. Pavlik first meeting, and without suggesting defeatism, it seems conceivable to raise the possibility of no-success into a near certainty in Mr. Taylor's project and thus, given Mr. Steward's authority combined with his insight and concern, call for watchfulness and the need for a transitional step in Mr. Taylor's camp. So much so that this is not just possible but likely and to think otherwise would be to misjudge to the extent of irreversible disaster, please consider yourself free to disagree and be so kind to let me know if taking action toward that transitional fight is advisable and more promising than the line pursued by Mr. Steward and Mr. DiBella, affectionately yours,...

Indeed he will. And earlier this time, too. Pavlik knows he can't let it go to the cards, because the HBO suits will throw their weight around.:yep

He wouldn't have lasted 4 to begin with had he not scored the KD, that made Pavlik take the heat off for a few rounds. Now that Taylor has been KTFO, he may fall apart even sooner under the heat and Pavlik's confidence is going to be sky high.

Pavlik's not an amazing fighter, but he certainly is not 1 dimensional like Taylor is and he has this guy figured out.

At least we'll most likely see the last of Jermain Taylor.

When you repeat the same mistakes over and over, you meet the definition of insane. Fabs, you've given a chance at redemption. Why would you go down that path again? :nono You will only be disappointed again. What, are you a Mets fans too? I thought you would have learned.

Atleast the fact your are a yankees fan gives credibility. The fact you still think JT can win, takes that away.
