HBO will try to resurect his career with a few more gift decisions after Pavlik destroys him. They will do whatever they have to to make that investment pay off.

And it sure seems like a pretty unwise investment at that!:yep

They wanted someone, ANYONE, to take the place of BHOP. Their BHOP hatred runs very deep. :yep

I remember once upon a time, if a Champ lost his title -and he tried to get it back straight way overmatched or not, people gave him credit for it.

That's what Champions do, and all that kind of ****.

I don't care one way or the other who actually wins this fight.

I think anyone giving Taylor **** for trying to get his titles back after getting an asskicking, is

    a) a wanker.
    b) part of the reason fighters don't take fights where they're the underdog.
    c) still hateful that he beat Hopkins and drew with Wright.

People like that are the reason guys don't take challenges, won't take a loss to make themselves a better fighter. Because as soon as they lose, people are all over them, and drop them like hot coals.

It's not that he lost this fight, it the damn gift decisions that were heaped upon him. Taylor is a nice guy, and he does have heart, but the illusion that Taylor is a P4P level fighter is just that: an illusion. :deal

I think its funny how that competitive fight between Pavlik and Taylor, that Pavlik nearly got knocked out in and came back to win although down on the cards, has turned in to Taylor getting destroyed. I think he has more room and tools to improve than Pavlik, who is what he is, a heavy handed, plodding pressure fighter. I think its 50/50.

If they have the same 3 judges, Pavlik will have to KO him again:-(

Would it still be an illusion if he'd managed to stop Pavlik early?

I have no problem with either decision against Hopkins. Hopkins fights about 10 seconds of each round.

The Wright one, yeah maybe. So what. Wright IMO is also right now horribly over rated. If you have ZERO intention of stopping a guy, then you have to take what you get from the judges IMO.

If anything, taking this fight should prove Taylor has what it takes. It would be easy to just bail out, take the money and run. But it seems like he wants to try and be a champ.

If he wins this one, does that mean Pavlik is **** too???????

No, but I don't think Pavlik is the middleweight savior either. He's just a better fighter than JT.

JT has regressed badly in every fight since the 2 BHOP fights, and his chin is a magnet for right hands (something his last 5 opponents all landed with impugnity). He does not listen to his trainer, he gasses out quite early, and he is fundamentally lacking in several areas.

Winky is a better fighter than JT will ever be, something that was proven in their fight. And who has Taylor stopped recently?? Daniel Edouard:patsch :rofl

Only the sight of JT laid low by a barrage of Palik punches will prove to you that JT, heart though he may have, is mostly all hype!!:deal

I don't doubt that Taylor is a product of hyperbole.

What I do think is bull****, is that people are having a go at him for trying to get his titles back. That's all you can ask of a Champion.

I can think of plenty of other so called champs that wouldn't dream of getting straight back in the ring with a guy that's just KTFO'd them.

For this rematch, Pavlik will be surprised.

    JT surely will improved.

    I'm stoked for this re-match.
    Good for you Jermaine...no fear.
I like both of these guys. Jermaine is a humble, nice guy, as is Kelly.
A couple of tough hombres slinging leather at one another:yikes ...what's not to like?
