Deontay Wilder dominated the division weigh 10, 20, and 30 pounds less than his opponent and KOed them all. He was the champion for 5 years with 10 title defenses.

He believe skill wise he is the crudest champion I can think of. Marciano was Ali compared to Wilder. Yet there is Wilder chasing Fury around the ring...putting him on the mat in the first match. 212 vs 256.

If I replace Wilder with Louis Fury doesn’t get pass the first knockdown.

Joshua got put down and basically quit against the fattest man in earth, definitely the most out of shape fighter to become a champion. The rematch Joshua ran for dear life. Seriously, Joshua compared to Joshua is a tomato can. Joshua is a tomato can

Wilder dominated who? He has 1 win over a top ten opponent in his prime and he wasn't very good!

No one said Wilder can't punch, but you tell me who did he beat? You got his lack of skill correct. Fury thrashed Wilde in the 2nd fight and won easily on points in the first fight, but was robbed into a draw. As for Wilder's title defenses, he just picked a non top ten guys who were often older or fat, or small and in most cases could not punch. Ho-hum.

Don’t care who he beat. They are all trash to me including Wilder and Fury.

The point of this conversation is being 269 pounds means nothing. Wilder KOed half a decade of them while weighing 30 pounds less and if Fury didn’t have heart he would have been another overweight bum that this wild swing bum KOed.

Joshua is trash and so is everyone else in this division. Freakin guy looks like the Incredible Hulk and is running for dear life against Mr. Potato head.

    These guys beat Joe Louis?
Ruiz, Joshua, Wilder and Fury all have better jabs than Louis?

That happened because of the massive difference in skill levels. Not because of size.

I’ve replied to you on the Mike McCallum thread.

I’m not sure if you were notified though, as I had trouble quoting you due to the limited number of characters we can use. I wasn’t able to quote your points.

I want to offer a solution to this issue. Let’s look at the history of professional sports.

Marquess of Queensberry Rules we’re published in 1867. John L. Sullivan won the Heavyweight Title in 1882. from there until the 1970s the greatest sports hero’s were the Heavyweight champions and baseball start. I would say that the best athletes were either in boxing or baseball.

The NFL was started in 1922 (Reign of Jack Dempsey and time of Babe Ruth) and became the juggernaut it is now in the 1980s, perhaps the late 70s but they did not get the best of the best talent.

The NBA was founded in 1946 (reign of Joe Louis time of Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams). The NBA does not become the juggernaut it is until the 90s, perhaps mid 80s.

The point to all of this that Boxing and baseball took all of the great talent until the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. If we took all of the sports hero’s 1970’s down until today, most of them would be playing baseball or boxing.

MJ would be a centerfielder, LeBron would be a Heavyweight contender, Allen Iverson would be a Middleweight champion...etc.

This is an offer of evidence to way some of us think these yesterdays fighters were so much better. Boxing and baseball were for a longtime the only major sports to make a living in, so this bought the best talent. When there was only one champion in boxing a fighter had to fighter almost a hundred time before he had a chance at the title.

I get it Primo isn’t Lewis or Wlad but on film he looks better then most of the big men today. I’m NOT saying I think he’s all time or anything just that he’s better then given credit for. Certainly better then most of the contenders today.
