    RJJ v Hopkins
    Taylor v Hopkins
    Mayweather v Hatton

    Pro-Hopkins

    Calzaghe-Bika
    Calzaghe-Reid
    Mayweather-Hatton

Whilst obviously none of these previous clashes will be a blueprint for how the Hopkins-Calzaghe fight will play out, there are elements contained in each clash which will be seen on April 19th.

What others are there? For what its worth, I'm expecting Calzaghe to box on the outside as much as possible to a clear UD.

fast hand speed, solid counters, inside rough-housing, good foot movement..... There are elements there that cut both ways.

i think that hopkins will fight the same way he did against winky! except preparing himself for more countering oppertunitys on the back footn calzaghe will try n work the pace for himself in this fight

so if calzaghe wins it will be a similar style of fight like Lyodd Honeyghan and donald curry fight

and if b hop can control the pace of the fight it will be the same style of Kelly pavlik vs jermain taylor

I had a dream last night that Calzaghe knocks Hopkins down twice early in the fight and then gets a UD. Something else happened to but I can't remember.

Be interesting to see how the fight pans out in relation my 'premonition'.

I really cant believe he said BHop = Hatton. Not by any stretch of the imagination brother.

If you really want to look for something that underlies what this fight may look like, go watch Williams - Quintana 1. Williams is a young, fast, ultra busy, awkward fighter...who tends to overwelm his opponents with his workrate and speed....while Quintana is a defensive minded counterpuncher, with good movement, accuracy and timing.

What happened there?? The counterpunching and the movement basically cut the opponents output in half, while Quintana used his superior accuracy and timing to land the harder, cleaner shots throughout....severely outclassing Williams.

Now is Williams even in the same stratosphere as Calzaghe??? HEEEEELLLL NOOOOO! Not even close. But neither is Quintana in Hopkins'.

He doesn't Hatton his head down and charge forward, from what I've seen of Hopkin's he's a counter puncher.

You keep forgetting Hopkins has height and reach, so if Cal tries to fight on the out side, he's out reached.
    Hopkins, 6 foot 1, 75
    Cal 5 foot 11 1/2 73 inch reach.
Hopkins has 3 1/2 inches total reach.

But Calzaghe has a much better jab...this helps big time. I think if the fight stays on the outside, its Joe's fight to lose. If he allows Bernard to come inside on him, its Bernard's to win.

Think Williams-Quintana, except on a much higher level.
