Well, he’s been spotted on all fours outside a pub bar he got kicked out of for being too drunk. I can see him retiring for good and the rematch not even happening. I can also see him getting koed by Usyk, then koed by AJ and then going down a deep dark spiralling depression. He’s already been down that road before and he still suffers from mental health.
It really does depend on whether he loses that fight. I do think hes more inclined to target Parker/Zhang winner for his final fight than AJ/Dubois winner. But I do think after Usyk hes only got 1 fight left and he might not even have that.
Imagine if Fury pulls out of the rematch. What does Usyk do? He is already talking about not liking putting on the weight for this division. I can't see the motivation for defending the IBF against 2 guys you already beat, one of them twice. Parker has been on a good run, but who really favors him to beat Usyk? Zhang has to land something early (I don't think it's likely), or he'll tire out.
We Will find out what kind of man he is. Or at least how he handles his first loss. Always admired Manny Pacquiaos approach to defeat, which was to dust himself off and get on with things. Would be great to see fury go away and train like a beast for the rematch. Hope we don’t see him have another breakdown, lose the rematch and then use his mental health as an excuse.
He'll have a close fight in the rematch with Usyk that could go either way (55/45 Usyk) and proceeds to outbox AJ twice before retiring. It's interesting to see so many people write him off like he's a bum when he gave Usyk the hardest fight of his career.
I think people are just questioning his head space after the loss. I’m all for giving him some time to get over it. But it doesn’t look good at the moment after seeing the video.
If he does that which I doubt he'll beat AJ tbh but if he does thats pretty good career in the end but no where near all time great recognition.
