    this has disaster written all over it. First off, it's only being distributed by HBO PPV but it's produced by Golden Boy. The last fight like this that i recall was Marquez-Casamayor. So there won't be heavy promoting going on by HBO.

    The fight is 3 weeks after Pac-Clottey and 4 weeks before May-Mosley.
    So that's pretty much a worst case scenario for a PPV.

    Not to mention, neither Hopkins nor Jones have ever been big PPV draws.

    I'd say this generates somewhere around 300k.

    :lol::lol:

    Hopkins' last fight on PPV did about 180K buys, RJJ last meaningful fight on PPV did about 300K, add another 100K for nostalgia alone and divide by 2 and ya get 290K. I'd assume 250 to 350 is their maximal range.

    He won't even mean to knock Jones out, but one pawing jab to Jones' Glass Jaw and he's a goner. It's a dead cert. Hopkins KO 1 over Jones with the first jab of the fight. This won't get to double figures in the punch stats.

    :lol: Jones chin is looking pretty bad lately, but I'm guessing Hopkins is just going to take him school and give him a real beat down via Clazaghe/Lacy. I could see Hopkins knocking him out late though.

    Hopefully they Co-Main event it with something(they should put it on the Mayweather-Mosley Undercard) cause if they don't and they sell it for the standard $49.99, I'm predicting 100K buys MAX.

    Anyone know the undercard for this fight? If it's crap, then i would say about 250-300K is about right. If the undercard is pretty good, maybe 350K.

    This looks to be a train wreck waiting to happen. I guess 200,000 is a good over/under amount. Its a fight few want to see, its stuck right in between the Pacquaio and Mayweather ppvs, Jones just got ko'ed in one, the first fight was boring, and so on.

    Why would Hopkins carry RJ? What does he gain by doing this? So people can call him a caring man?

    calzaghe vs jones with 24/7 did 225k and that was jones coming off a win.

    Without 24/7 and jones coming off an embarrassing loss and already embarrassed by JC I say this does under 200k, probably 150k if their lucky.

    This is a good match for RJJ though. Both are old and have low work rate and BHop is not a big puncher so I doubt he stops Jones. Its a chess match and RJJ might just pull it off.
