The reason its hard to see a Povetkin fight right this moment is his camp rejected a 2 million dollar fight when Povetkin was the mandatory. Do they expect to get a similar offer now?

Perhaps they could make it a WBA mandatory but they'd have to pay Chagaev step-aside money.

Unless there's a way to make a lot of money via the Russian TV market (or even stage the fight in Russia) then I don't see it happening unless Povetkin wins an eliminator first.

Me too, i pray they see sense & have the humanity not to let Shot Tua get massacred. :verysad

I think the rating of Valuev's chin is more based on his mostly low-level competition, & the way most people find it difficult to hit. It's up to Wlad if he wants to stop him. Haye did hurt him with the first & only big shot landed, so Wlad (harder & better puncher than Haye) would too. Maybe Wlad could travel to Russia to fight Valuev, it might make the fight a bigger attraction. Boring fight, but seeing Wlad slay the stupendously gigantic giant would be a sight!

I concur with your first point. Fury would have to leave Steward, & may not get back with him, due suffering a humiliating one-side loss, while Manny sits in the opposite corner. Helenius-Fury is very interesting. Helenius has much more power & much better boxing skills, but Fury has the GOAT trainer, Steward in his corner, so a Helenius victory is not a given... What i would like to see, is Helenius KO Fury, then for Steward to leave Fury, & get with the vastly superior & more talented Helenius.

Does you honestly think Haye deserves an immediate rematch?

    He lost a shutout decision.

Haye needs to beat a ranked contender like Chambers, before challenging a Klitschko brother again.

Davey Haye should fight Arreola, Chambers or Helenius, to EARN another title shot @ Wladdy. But not Povetkin, cos he is beating Hepatitis Chagaev for a title shot @ Wladdy.

So Wladdy should fight in his next 3 -

    Povetkin

    Haye rematch

    Helenius

Decent post, but i'd rather Helenius waited until 2013 (fighting ranked contenders after Shot Liakhovich fight) before challenging a Klit bro.

    1)Arreola
    2)Chisora-Fury winner
    3)Povetkin

This is assuming Haye does retire if he doesn't get the rematch. If he sticks around and beats a contender or two, I'd have no problem with a rematch taking place.

Vitali never got serious on his own. He never fights, he always boxes. He only fights when he is forced to, Wlad wouldn´t. This would be a boxing match and Vitali can´t win that one.

Brought along slowly? Look how many fights he had and who he already fought. He´s surely not moved along slowly.

When does Vitali force exchanges? He is boxing his opponents, not fighting them.

Haye has a better chance against Vitali than against Wlad.

Bidenko was in the ring top 10 when he fought him I think.

Yop, Haye has a good chance to beat Vitali, a much bigger one than against Wlad.

Vitali did fight against Lewis & Sanders.

Watch the Lewis fight again, VK started the battle, not Lewis. :!:

I agree with you here bodhi, Helenius is being brought along fast. :good

His opponents just aren't on his level, they can't exchange with him, hence why it looks so one-sided.

No. VK will break him. :ko

I would like to see some proof of this. Anyway, being in the Ring top 10 doesn't mean a fighter can't be ****. I reckon Boystov just cherrypicked the shittiest most mediocre ranked guy, who nobody gives a crap about to fight, that is if "Bidenko" was ranked... shame on the Ring if he was! :-(

    No way. :nono

Switch Chisora with Fury and then yes I can see these 3 as Wlad's next opponents...

If Chisora wins, it looks like he's got a title shot at Wlad this year:

“I will be fighting again this year. We’ll see what happens in the next few weeks, who’s coming up and also the result of Chisora-Fury fight. Chisora would be one of the logical opponents for me.”
