I think the first fight was Barett's last stand, he ain't boxing for anything but a few dollars these days and Tua will probably take him more seriously, I see Monte going down in the mid rounds.

As for weight, 239lbs for Tua as a guess

I think Tua's trainer, will try bulking David up with all the leg resistance training he's done. And i think if he chooses to box Barret he'll eventually KO Monte in the later rounds........

You would think the best plan would be to pressure Barett, I mean he isn't Floyd Mayweather on defence or anything, but Tua's "pressure" these days seems to be walking around following his opponent and throwing lazy combo's, it'll be interesting to see his tactics.

tua doesnt KO a guy with 19 losses in his last fight....but is gonna KO monte this time....? nahhh..
even if he does...he knocks out a 40 year old guy who has 3 wins in his last 11 fights...even worse if you lose to the guy who has 3 wins in his last 11 fights....no win situation for tua

I watched that fight, and it's clear to me. That Tua was expecting a early knockout. He obviously didn't respect Monte's considerable power, because he didn't setup many punches when he got inside. That basically leaves you open for being picked off with the jab, in which Barret did. My guess is a more cautious approach, throwing more jabs would tire Monte out and leave him vulnerable for a later round left hook KO punch.....

Following your opponent around the ring, and looking for that one big punch. Is just a more effective method to tiring someone out. It didn't effect a 270lb Solis, who boxed Barret, and eventually took him out when he got hurt....

solis wasnt almost 39 years old and didnt rely on a left hook ..which barrett can see coming a mile away these days....hell, the guy with 19 losses tua fought last time didnt have any probs not being tired or getting hit with it

As long as Barrett keeps his guard up, stick and moves and just runs from Tua and gives him nothing, I see Barrett taking this one.

With that said, you can never count out a guy like Tua who has everlasting KO power. If he catches Barrett, its goodnight.
