I predict Miguel Cotto comes to the end of he road tonight..the **** stain Mayweather will have a career high performance in helping Cotto get to that end of the road. He'll improve upon Pac's showing versus Cotto...and it pains me to say this. Mayweather stops Cotto within 6 rounds..it may go to 7.
Saul Alvarez will dominate and decision an old, worn outlooking Shane Mosely...a onesided decision,, which will probably disappoint his countrymen, especially as Saul will be fighting for all May-he-co...
he won't get that ko, IMO.
Anyone care to chime in on this? Yay or nay?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Mayweather stop Cotto. If Floyd is aggressive, he stops him mid-late rounds... If he gets clipped, he'll go into safety mode and win a decision.

I think Alvarez will stop Mosely. He's done. Totally done.

Well, I see Mosely being outgunned, outworked, outpunched, just basically out everythinged..for some reason Saul won't be able to get the ko..in front of screaming, fervent May-he-cans...and his stock may go down a bit, but he will get the win.
As for Cotto, I think he's reached to far this time, at this particular stage of his career...and Mayweather just may want to prove a point at Miguel's expense...I swear I hope I'm wrong here..

Cotto will try to press Floyd......I doubt he will try to box in the back foot.
Maybe his body punches can do some damage.....I really hope Miguel wins, but I can´t see how.....he is too slow in comparison with Floyd, slow hands and slow movements.....

Floyd by UD. I don´t think Cotto will win more than 3 rounds.......

Vic, I'd love to be wrong on this...I hope Cotto pulls off a major upset, but you just know that he won't...

I think this is the overwhelming sentiment.

    Predictions. PAIN!!!!

Sorry couldn't help myself. Mosley gives Alvarez a good fight but.drops a wide decision. Mayweather counters and pot shots all night but advanced age means he takes a few more shots than we're used to seeing.

PS so i'm the only one rooting for Floyd?

Little Red: You may be. Cotto is a hard man to root against. There is no facade, no fakery. Just an honest, hard working, tough guy who gives his best every time out. Mad respect to him. How could you not hope he pulls off one of the bigger upsets in recent memory?

Mayweather makes it easy to root against him. He's a jackass. Insane ability, but he's a ****.

As for the other anticipated fight tonight:

I think Mosley is the perfect test for young Canelo at this point. If he wins in impressive fashion, he's in the big fight game. He wins, but not emphatically, he stays about where he's at, and that's struggling to break into the major scene.

I think he has what it takes and hits hard enough to keep old man Mosley honest. He should win a decision, and I'm gunning for a stoppage. The first to do so.

I can't add anything to what you guys have posted. As with most I wish Cotto would find a way to win but can't fanthom him doing it.

I don't think Cotto will win tonight, but I am shocked at the consensus that Mayweather will dominate and/or stop him.

Cotto has only been beaten by fighters that throw in high volume and don't fight to Cotto's set pace. When Miguel sets the tempo and boxes on the front foot he is effective. Especially now he has got his footwork back from the mess it was against Clottey and Pacquiao.

Going backwards he is a different fighter, going forward he can make full use of his bodywork and strong jab. I honestly see a close fight, maybe 7-5 in rounds to Mayweather or something of that nature. People keep forgetting that Cotto has faced and competed with the very best of his era/weightclass and never looked out of his depth, and Mayweather, may I add, is not getting any younger either.
