I'm on record to say that they sell 1.5m minimum. I think this new era of PPV starts can produce. (even though it's only two fighters) Before it was only DLH, whoever he danced with didn't even matter most of the time, on his name alone got 500k + buys.

Thoughts on Pac v Clottey PPV sales ????

No way in hell this does more than 1 million.
    Mayweather-Mosley does at least 1.5-2 M

Mosley v Mayweather will do more than 2m buys ... both of these guys did 1m buys their last fight ... Pac is averaging 850k + buys ... he'll do 1m at the min.

Clottey is BY FAR the least recognizable opponent for Pac in his last 3 fights.

    vs ODLH: 1.2mil
    vs Hatton: 900k
    vs Cotto: 1.2mil

vs Clottey: 650-800k is my guess.

I'm guessing around 600-800k, it's a decent fight but Pac is the only real draw in this one...

Clottey has a name, it's not the same as him fighting a malignaggi or something ... Clottey has fans and hardcore fans have been waiting to see Pac in light of the Floyd Mayweather allegations.

600-800k. It's promotion has been minimal, largely overshadowed by PBF-Mosley.

    600-800 sounds about right.

Pac-Hatton didn't break a mil so I dont think its going to break a mil.

If it does that'd be great tho.

I think you guys are spot on. Here are some pertinent factors:

-He won't have the 24/7 hype machine for the first time in three fights
-The Mayweather/Mosley fight has really taken over the spotlight
-Clottey is far from even Cotto and Hatton in U.S. popularity

Given all that, Pacquiao is still a gigantic name who makes for great fights. So around 750k sounds about right.

can't see Pac-Clottey doing over a million buys tbh, Hatton is a bigger name than clottey and that didn't do a million, also the publicity for this fight wasn't as big as i thought it would be

No one thought that Mayweather v Marquez doing 1m buys ... no one thought that Pac v Marquez II doing 500k ... Pac v Cotto did 1.25 ... i'm sure that Clottey has a solid enough name to produce 1m buys ... I know that i'm going to buy watch that ****.

Pac should have just fought JMM or Valero.

I am a big Pac fan but this fight is really stupid ****ing waste of Pac's time.

Clottey lost Margarito and recently to Cotto + the fact that Clottey is hige and very a very durable fighter - how in holy ****ing hell does this fight makes sense? What does Pac stand to gain on this? Absolutely nothing.

I hope this fight makes barely 500+ so Arum and Pac's team gets a dose of reality.

I doubt this is a waste of time for Pac ... he's fighting a guy whose only L's came from Baldomir (farse DQ) ... Cotto (too close to call) ... and Margarito (broke hand in the 5th killed his chances)

3 L's to solid fighters ... 3 championship fights ... former champion ... he's naturally bigger than Pac (will come into the fight around 160) ... he has speed, good defense, and good technique. No matter what ... Clottey will make a fight out of it and whoever doesn't buy this or tune in will be missing out.
