I don't think this is even a bold prediction but the odds have Garcia as a heavy favorite.

Peterson has been in with Bradley, Ortiz, Khan, and Matthysse.
Garcia has been in with Khan, Matthysse, and Herrera.

    I favor Peterson because...
    1. He's very tough and defensively responsible. He's not getting stopped by that crispy hook out of right field.
    2. Garcia has struggled/been lucky in literally all of his very few big fights.
    3. Peterson beat Khan up and outskilled him, while Garcia overpowered him with basically one shot BUT was getting beaten up.
    4. Peterson's come-forward volume style is like Herrera with more power.
    5. I just think he's an all-around better fighter than Garcia.
    6. Also picking Lee because f*ck it.

I'm not sure I'd pick peterson to win. But If i were a gambling man I'd certainly put money on him. Danny isn't that great against that type of fighter.

i'm with you, ONLY with you in Peterson getting a W is almost expected from me. but DCG got "lucky" in ONE fight and that was a very over confident truly under prepared mentally vs herrera

.. I got Peterson. Peterson gets a raw deal from getting caught by lucas, not sure how many 140 lbers survive that shot. hell even most WW's would have been walking up still counting sheep.

Peterson lost a war to khan, I know he got the dec but he lost so clearly to me even those 2 point deduction didn't earn him a draw never mind a win. he was down 3 clear rounds for me. clear rounds, khan fans favoring him could really argue it was a 10/2 or even 11/1 type fight. so not very close in scoring but it was competitive just about every round. I don't like that V for Peterson, khan really got screwed but anyways he has the type of skills to be a nightmare for DSG.

of course DSG could stop him but I don't know man

    1. He's been dropped numerous times and stopped.
    2. Peterson has lost all his big fights except Khan ...
    3. Peterson was dropped twice, on PED's and relied on a dubious decision.
    4. I don't think he fights like Herrera at all, so we'll have to disagree on that one.
    5. His best attribute is his inside fighting but even there, Garcia can match him and has superior power.

I kind of think the same myself, didnt watch the herrea fight though.
Not confident at all in him getting a win but Peterson will give a good account I think push him all the way

I think Peterson will have his moments, but Garcia will have just as many- and he has a way of making certain that the moments he has are much more likely to catch the eyes of the judges.

Agree this is a closer fight than people think, am going Garcia on points though.

I think Peterson can win as well.

But he likes to trade a little to much. If he sticks to boxing and limits his in the pocket trading I see a decision.

Well I was wrong but I've NEVER seen Peterson do the running thing before and was not expecting it. Thought the whole fight would look like rounds 8, 11, and 12.

Garcia doesn't have an inside game and he has not much power when going backward.

Herrera proved he can be backed up with a jab and touched on the inside by a light puncher. Peterson imo would have wrecked Garcia with a 12-round pressure game.

I don't think he should have used that pressure from the bell. I think he needed 4 rounds to frustrate Danny. I honestly thought though he won at least one of the early rounds. Thought he could have had the decision or a draw.
