Prediction: Stevenson is badly beaten before he steps into the ring with Kovalev

Stevenson does not want to fight Kovalev, but Kovalev wants to fight Stevenson, that tells us something.................and Ward does not want to fight either one...............

 

kovalev will get exposed and humiliated long before stevenson. stevenson is the real deal. he can fight. kovalev hasn't faced a top guy yet. kovalev is a very protected fighter who is still fighting c-level competition. he looks good against crappy guys like boone and campillo and scared fighters like cleverrly and guys with a weak chin like sillakh. but kovalev will get beat up real hard if he steps in there with b-level fighters like pascal or cloud. ward is an a-level figher who would beat kovalev to a bloody pulp and end his career. even hopkins would outbox kovalev and make him look stupid and probably hurt him and knock kovalev out late.

 

Listen, I like Froch, and I'd love for nothing more than for him to drub Stevenson. But plan A gets him knocked out.

He gets beaten to every punch by Stevenson. He's fast, and he packs a punch. I can't think of a worse fighter at the moment for Froch.

 

Nonsense. Their feet got tangled and Stevenson lost his balance.

Frochy, and his swiss cheese defense would get hit, alot. And with the power that Stevenson possesses, it wouldn't be pretty. This isn't like the Bute fight. Stevenson, for as much as I am a critic, is a different fighter than he was earlier in his career.

 

Classic scenario of a foreigner like Kovalev destroying all his opponents early and people fail to look that he has a "Draw" on his record meaning he's not invincible....People bash Stevenson at 36 years old for wanting Big money fights with B-Hop who is also a Champion and if Kovalev fought B-Hop instead of Cleverly he would have been exposed and Boxing fans wouldn't be talking about him...Stevenson 's lack of a jab would get him embarrassed by B-Hop and Kovalev would look like a amateur against B-Hop. If Stevenson vs Kovalev happens i would take Stevenson by 3rd round KO, because i see Kovalev being aggressive and walking into a straight left and getting put to sleep.

It has nothing to do with Groves, well, maybe just a little because of how poor Froch looked. But this current version of Stevenson is all wrong for Froch. Active, mobile KO power. You're kidding yourself if you think Froch simply walks thru his shots and is able to tee off. Because that is what it'll take.

How do you see Froch winning this fight? What tactics do you think he'd employ?

 

IMO Stevenson might be faster than Groves and packs more power, but he is one handed and has a shittydefense: he steps back in a straight line with his hands down just without firing back, just putting distance. The only chance for Froch to beat him is bullying him to his backfoot to the ropes, as he did with Bute.

If he is not able to do that he would be KTFO after eating a ton of left straights.

Hopkins has a lot of tricks in the basket to avoid his left and fire back. I think BHop has still enough to stop him.

 

Froch and Hopkins would both lose that's why they probably won't fight him even though he called them out. Ward and Kovalev both have a good chance but don't seem interested at the moment for some reason.
