Pretty tough to call. As soon as the Kessler fight was cancelled Green was saying he wanted to move up as he was struggling at this weight too. I don't think Green is as horrible as his fight with Ward suggests. Glen is going to take some bombs early but he's got a chin of steel.....at LH that is. If he survives the first 4 rounds, then I expect Glen to start taking over.....well he would at LH anyway!
johnson will move forward with technical abandon and he will break greens heart and take his manhood from him. johnson is technically atrocious but he comes to fight. you need to be decent to beat johnson. green will rely on intangiables i.e. age and weight. if johnson is old and weight drained then he'll just be plodding into shots all night.
If he has dealt with making the weight okay Johnson should win on points. But if not Green could take it. Hopefully Johnson has made the weight and we won't have to see Green in this tournament again.
I'm not one to analyse or make much of weigh-ins normally. But because i think the weight issues will play a big part in this fight...just saw the weign-in and Johnson looked drained, in fact niether of them looked that well. I think Green's struggled to make it aswell. This could be a very close, lacklustre fight, where someone (Johnson) cries "robbery" at the end.
If Johnson is even at 70% he should beat Green on points. Green can't deal with a high workrate and he doesn't have the power to make Glen respect him. Hopefully Johnson spanks him and we don't see Green in a big fight again. Great card tonight! I'm hyped!
WAY to hard to call , you just dont know how Johnson is going to perform at 168lbs. If it was at light heavy id say johnson by tko. Green has some mental weakness for me and can be easily discouraged but this is his last chance so you have to expect a big effort here. Johnson is a warrior and will try and impose his will on Green from the get go but style wise and weight wise it favours Green for me. I think Green wil take it by UD.
If Green can't win this he might as well retire. It's all set up for him. Under different circumstances Johnson would destroy him though.
Glens such a cool dude, I'd be devastated if his career at the top was ended by Allan "I don't deserve this payday" Green.
I'm going with Johnson, Green looked kinda bad at the weigh in as well. If Green loses I expect the weight to be an excuse.
Hopefully this time he's listened to his trainer in his camp. He must be one of the few boxers I've heard of that would rather go for a walk than a jog/run as his trainer suggested he should for the fight with Ward.
