Kovalev outboxes Canelo from range, prevents him from getting on the inside, hurts Canelo, but Canelo hangs on to lose a decision that even the judges cannot save him from.

I pray for Kovalev to flatten that carrot top via a beautiful KO.

    No count needed.

I don't understand all the Canelo hate, we should appreciate what he's doing, aside from Garcia none of the current top 10 p4p fighters are taking huge risks like this.

Kovalev hands are too slow, he will have trouble hitting Canelo and will get tagged all night. One sided win for Canelo possible stoppage late depending on how well Canelo works the body.

I'm really thinking about putting some money on a draw. I could see Kovalev peppering Canelo from a distance all night, but he won't get the W like that, unless something dramatic happens.

Voted for Kovalev KO although could very easily see Canelo getting inside and tearing up that body for a KO win. Tough one to call. Fun fight to watch

A big fan of both fighters but its divisions for a reason Kovalev is at worst a top 3 LHW and a champ in the division, Canelo while a great fighter himself should lose this fight nothing wrong with that though hopefully he bounces back and keeps taking challenges. Kovalev by more than likely stoppage

Head says Canelo is catching Kovalev at the right time but my heart is hoping Kovalev has one last push in his career.

I can see Canelo pushing a pace, fighting in spurts as he does and being hard to hit using his height as an advantage. But Kovalev has the jab and the footwork to keep distance and Canelo at bay and make Canelo work for the way inside spending energy as he does.

**** it Kovalev late rounds stoppage in a great fight.

I think Kovalev by KO. This is not like let's say Pacquiao versus Delahoya. Here the bigger guy has the bigger tool, the jab, the footwork, the legitness. Yes Canelo is fast, versatile and he might have decent power at 175 but style is playing against him. Add to that, Kovalev normally weights close to 190 when he fights. I think Canelo will be 175-180.

I think more of Forrest versus Mosley or Gatti versus Dorin.

*I can be wrong. Maybe Canelo is David and Kovalev is Goliath.

Kova is able to command the distance and dictate the action in enough rounds to get a razor close SD in a fight he wins 8 rounds to 4.

I think Kova is ready to go. Hard fights and the booze problem.
