What would Wlad have done to Molina the other night? The same. This is a win-win fight for Joshua. He loses to Wlad, no big deal he has lost to one of the best in recent times and he will surely come again. Plenty of other fights for him out there, he will only learn from it. Joshua hasnt been in deep waters yet. The Whyte fight didnt show us much. Joshua wasn't knocked down and was slightly wobbled but recovered straight away. Whyte is a good boxer with good power however he doesnt possess one-punch knockout power like Wlad. Whyte is not as accurate or as technically skilled as Wlad. Whyte has improved since the Joshua fight. I keep hearing this argument - "Wlad has been out of the ring for too long, hes too old now..." The flip side is that he will be itching to get in the ring now, and is certainly not messing about as he has been let down by Fury twice this year when he was already itching to get his titles back, hes gonna be pissed off and rightly so. He will be glad to have the chance against Joshua and I wish AJ the best but I think he is going to have to kiss that IBF title goodbye...
That's a complete paradox. if whyte has the better resume, a win over whyte would give Joshua the better resume. Which therefore means that whyte doesn't have the better resume, the first bit is cancelled out and it goes round in circles.
This is a tough fight for AJ as I think klitschko still has enough left in the tank to give him problems. fury beat him because he didn't know what to do with him and the bigger man just spoiled. AJ can't do that and I don't think he can outbox him either. I'm interested in knowing what McCrackens plan is?
Right place right time for AJ I think. The Wlad of 2-3 years ago would probably win a close fight but Wlad will be 41 when the fight happens. I just can't see how Wlad wins this tbh, I don't know if he can outbox AJ for 12 rounds at his age while avoiding being hit flush and I believe AJ has the height, reach and technique to be able to get through WK's defence and awkward style.
