i thought mosley won the first fight, and was 1 punch away from knocking cotto out if the ref never stopped the fight because there was some water in the ring. now mosley is a better fighter, he is now using the experience he has geined from over 20 years in boxing, with the help of nazim he is going to be the best welterweight by the end of 09.
I can hear Lampley now: "Unbelievably, Mosley starts punching himself in rd 10 and ends up knocking himself unconscious halfway through the 11th as Cotto stares in amazement." "Crazy turn of events here this evening!"
cotto ud, cotto already knows how to get at mosley, if he applies pressure cotto's jab is gonna send him packing. cotto for the win.
Screw this matchup--i want to see cotto-marg 2----without margs gloves filled with cement this time. Cheating *****.
yea like he did in the first fight, cotto by ud, stop putting down cotto, mosley is great but i belive cotto is better this time. either way going to be alsome, i see mosley having trouble getting passed cotto's jab.
i'm going to change my prediction Mosley by TKO late rounds ... Given the fact that Mosley did have a chance to KO Cotto in the first fight but because of the water on the canvas thing and the fact that Cotto ran the rest of the way. Cotto also said that Mosley was a better fighter than Margarito and that he would win the fight if Margarito didn't come with a perfect fight plan.
I never said anything to put Cotto down, so chill out. Unless father time catches up with Cotto very quickly, I don't see how a fight in May or June between Shane and Cotto would end with Shane not being the victor. Shane has faster hands and a better chin, Cotto is lazy at time with the way he leans forward and sometimes he lets his machoismo get in the way and was to brawl instead of box. Like I said before, Shane starts this fight off out jabbing Cotto and working his body, by the later rounds when Cotto has to press to make it a fight, Cotto will start landing the uppercuts and knock him out or lead to a TKO.
Styles make fights. Margo more easy to hit. Also, a major difference in the Margo fight for Shane was his corner. He had a plan! and he stuck to it. I think his dad in the corner would just use more general instructions, while this trainer got Shane motivated and relaxed. 1+2 does not equal 3 all the time in boxing. Hopefully, Shane will go for the big money fights now - Cotto 2, Mayweather, and maybe winner of Paq/Hatton. Leave Berto alone, too good now for him. Leave Williams alone
I would love to see this fight. 2 figthers with very different styled. I would pick Cotto winning a UD
