Will Fury retire? Will Usyk retire? Will they fight each other? Will both still be champs? Will Joshua come all the way back? Will Hrgovic, Joyce, or Parker pick up a belt?

Who will be holding the four major belts at the end of 2023?

Let's see who is Nostradamus, here.

    My guess:

-Fury beats Whyte and fights Ngannou for a novelty swansong, and then retires (for the moment).
-Rather than let Usyk fight for the belt, the WBC sets up Wilder and Whyte for the vacant belt, and Whyte wins in an upset
-Usyk beats Joshua, and petitions for the WBC shot, but is denied. He has to take on his mandatories, Joyce and Helenius, and wins both handily despite having lost a step. He wants Whyte, but Hearn will have none if its, and Usyk finishes the end of next year facing that he will either have to retire, or fight WBO mandatory Hrgovic, which is essentially another meaningless fight.

Sorry, but this is what I see in the crystal ball.

If everybody fights who they should fight Usyk undisputed heavyweight champion, as long as Usyk stays out of any danger in the Ukraine and he keeps fighting.

In the next 12 months everyone will take a stay-busy fight and exactly one more meaningful/title fight that hasn't yet been scheduled will take place, probably the AJ-Usyk rematch.

I don't take the Fury retiring thing seriously. He's gone through a lot of effort to keep that WBC belt so he can be part of the undisputed fight.

If Usyk doesn't come back that would be a hoot. Would they be brazen enough to make a fight like AJ vs Parker 2 for three vacant titles?

Joshua retires after losing to Usyk again.
Wilder retires for not getting an immiadiate titleshot.
Fury says he retires, fights some MMA dude in a PPV exhibition, and then comes back late 2023 fighting a pushover with a padded record.
WBC belt will become vacant again, and some completely undeserving PBC fighter fights a Don King fighter for it.

The most interesting outcome would be:

    • Fury beats Whyte and retires
    • Usyk beats Joshua, and Joshua retires
    • Wilder fights a bum and retires
    • Usyk decides to fight for Ukraine and retires
This leaves the HW division WIDE open.

Then the sanctioning bodies hold a tournament to crown a new champion.

    Fury KOs Whyte

Usyk KOs Joshua in their rematch

Fury vs Usyk for undisputed in late 2022, Fury wins via decision. Both Fury and Usyk retire afterwards as ATGs; Fury as the second HW champion to never be defeated after Rocky Marciano.

Wilder KOs a C-level guy for the vacant WBC belt

Joshua may or may not retire after losing to Usyk twice in a row, depends on if Hearn can get him a shot at a vacant title

Joshua ends up never fighting Fury or Wilder and will go down as a decent but ultimately never elite champion

They would more than likely hold 4 separate tournaments but yes, a unified tournament like in the 1980s would be great. Unfortunately there is no superstar like Mike Tyson to entice networks and promoters to put that together
