Predictions for Uzcategui Plant fight

Uz is not a rocket scientist. Clearly. He has supreme confidence in his abilities and they have almost always been enough in previous fights. But I don't think this was fixed. I think you had one fighter who was super motivated and another who was almost smug about his power and abilities. There is no sense in trying to figure Uz out. There are a lot of fighters like him. It's unusual to have one be a champion, though. He felt no sense of urgency and allowed Plant to outwork him. Props to Plant for getting it done. Uz deserved to lose that fight, even though, believe it or not, I had it 115-112 for Uz.

 

Nothing fixed about it plant dropped him and gave him a boxing lesson.

I had Plant up 39-35 after 4 rounds, with Uz winning round 3. I thought Uz then ran the table the rest of the way. Yeah, there were a number of close rounds, scoring round 8 even, but I thought Uz effectively kept the pressure on Plant even though Plant hung in there in the exchanges. I'm amazed Plant didn't go down late because he was tagged with two good shots in one of the later rounds. Kudos to Plant.

 

Are you kidding me? I had it 10-2 for Plant. Just look at the punch stats.

This isn't the amateurs. Plant was busted up at the end of the fight and he was fighting on fumes.

 

I had him losing 9 and 10. You’re right...if it was the amateurs, the fight would have been stopped after Jose was floored for the second time. You don’t score points based on how tired you think someone is. Your score for this fight tells me all I need to know about your knowledge of boxing and how to score a fight. Maybe find a new sport to watch.
