I think Calderon will win a decision, possibly a split one. Depends on whether the judges like the workrate of Segura or the accuracy of Calderon. I don't think Calderon will get stopped, because I don't think Segura has enough one punch power to stop him, plus Calderon's footwork will keep him from getting tagged by follow up punches.

Great fight, full of action!! Seems like Calderon just couldn't handle the heat. Still a great fighter though. And I love those Spanish commentators. Don't know what the **** they're saying but it sounds awesome! I wish we had that on tv last night. I would have much rather watched that than the UFC card.

    Called it!!:yep:D

"THIS IS BOXING AT IT'S ULTIMATE!!!" Great line from the Colonel!

Yes! Man, that was awesome. My man Segura becomes the lineal champ:yep. Awesome fight and hats off to both fighters. I haven't been that excited watching boxing in ages. FOTY so far:think? I think it was better than Froch-Kessler.

I don't think we've had too many candidates for FOTY this year off the top of my head, but this fight is definitely up there.

Well Dominic Vea vs Oscar Siale is still my FOTY, but this is right up there :yep

Credit to Segura, was just relentless and Calderon couldn't keep him away. Surprised by the judges cards at the time of the stoppage (Segura at least 2 points up on each card I think) because I felt Calderon was narrowly ahead but then it doesn't really matter at the end of the day. Sad to see Calderon lose, but the best man on the night won.

I thought Calderon won a maximum of 3 rounds: 3, 6 and 7. I also thought rounds 3 and 6 were extremely close.

What a fight, that 6th round was ridiculous! Did have an almost eerie resemblance to Cotto-Marg, Segura's stamina is crazy. I had Calderon a point up going into the 8th, quite surprised by the judges scorecards to be honest.

Up there with Roman-Escalante as my FOTY, probably just shades it because of the significance and historical impact of the fight.
